'Yun-ah...'
Yunho's heart beat hard in his chest as he slowly made his way over to him, unable to take his eyes from his.
'Are you okay?'
He couldn't speak. Not yet. Not while he was so awed by him...
Gently coming to stand beside him, he swallowed back his jittery butterflies, not quite sure what he had planned on saying, or doing once he had come to him...
But from here - close enough to have his intoxicating scent wash over him, and see him - really see him... Yunho knew that no matter what he decided, he couldn't turn back...
'Yun...' Mingi breathed, his voice just a whisper between them.
'I'm having a moment,' he confessed, not even having thought his words through before speaking them.
Mingi exhaled in surprise, staring at him. 'I- I can see that...'
Swallowing back his overflowing emotions, he took a shaky breath as he let his eyes trail over his face, shoulders and body; catching a moment longer on his bracelet... 'San told me not to attach words to what I feel, because I'm shit at it.'
Mingi suddenly stifled a soft laugh, surprised. 'Did he?'
He nodded. Feeling incredibly jittery, he could feel his cheeks burning. 'Mhm... Min... You give me butterflies...'
Mingi's breath suddenly caught, and his lips fell apart slightly - catching his attention.
He couldn't help but suddenly stare at them...
I have kissed those lips... he thought.
I have felt those lips against mine...
'W-well... Maybe, you're just... nervous... about uni...' Mingi whispered; his voice incredibly unstable
But Yunho shook his head. Unknowingly, he took a small step forwards - one that had Mingi's breath suddenly quivering.
Drawn to him, like it was the only thing he wanted to do, Yunho reached out one of his hands and gently touched the inside of his wrist. Electricity zapped him, making him gasp as he and Mingi both gazed at where their skin touched.
He brushed his fingers ever-so-lightly against his wrist for a moment... Until suddenly, his mind filled with an entirely different idea...
His eyes flicked across from his wrist, to his waist, and suddenly, he felt incredibly unsure...
Goosebumps erupted over his skin as his nerves exploded. He kind of began to wonder what it felt like...
Swallowing nervously, he didn't even have time to ask himself whether it was what he wanted...
Instead, on impulse, he let go of that soft skin...
... And let his hand rest incredibly gently against his waist.
His nerves were nauseating as he heard Mingi's breath become even more unsteady to match his own. It felt strange to touch someone like that... To feel fabric, but to forget the fabric... To feel only the contour of his body... A body that was beneath his fingertips...
'Y-Y... Yun-ah...' Mingi whispered.
But he was fascinated by the way he could feel his waist expand ever so slightly with his nervous breath.
In practise in the hospitals, Yunho had had his hands in places far more obscene than just on someone's waist.
But fucking hell, nothing felt like this... The more time that passed, the less terrified he became, and the less timid his grasp felt...
'Yun...'
Yunho's eyes blinked from his waist, to his face, and by god, it was like suddenly, everything about Mingi that drew him in, had multiplied.
'I want to kiss you...' he breathed, and in his daze, he wasn't even surprised by his words. All he could focus on, was the way his waist felt beneath his hand, and the way his expression was so soft...
And his lips...
His eyes flickered down to stare shamelessly at them... A part of him that he'd dreamt of most nights since he'd been in his kitchen... They still looked as pretty as he remembered... rosy and plump, and he didn't need to touch them to know they were softer than velvet...
'Yun...'
He swallowed back his emotions and glanced up to meet Mingi's eyes, regretful to have torn them from his lips, but a regret that was forgotten the instant he fell into those dark irises...
'I don't know if you-... if you...' his words trailed off as Yunho gently flattened his entire palm against his side, making them both melt...
'Please...' Yunho whispered, looking between his eyes and his lips, torn between wanting to look at them both. 'Let me kiss you...' he whispered.
And the sharp exhale of breath Mingi let out as his lungs deflated accompanied the feeling of him giving in. His eyes fell down to his lips, and Yunho prayed to god his nausea would remain as just that, as his butterflies erupted through his entire body, seeping through his skin and into the air around them.
And then, Yunho felt a shiver trail down Mingi's spine...
'C-can I...?' he whispered, staring at him as his heart leapt.
He held his breath as he waited for his answer, feeling like millenia were passing instead of mere milliseconds...
But the moment he saw Mingi nod ever so slightly, Yunho felt like he was floating.
Reaching his other hand up and touching his fingers to his cheek, he didn't even register swiping his tongue over his lips before he leant forward and melded their lips together.
Bliss.
Absolute, fucking, heaven.
Every single goddamn part of his body, tingled.
Stepping closer, he melted as their lips slipped in between each other, and he felt their warmth and velvety touch on the delicate untouched inside of his own lips...
Their noses brushed, and their hair tangled, and it only made Yunho feel more and more like he was about to become the first man in the history of time, to die from nerves...
And then something happened that was new...
Mingi suddenly tilted his head a little, almost slipping his lips from his... It made Yunho panic - was he pulling back again?
But a moment later, he melded them together again; his bottom lip slipping between his...
And if Yunho had thought that feeling would kill him, then he was sure he must have already been dead as Mingi suddenly rested five gentle fingertips on his chest, and another five on the healthy side of his neck...
He couldn't help but exhale the instant their skin touched. Overwhelmed with emotions, he felt like he was on the verge of crying. But he was the opposite of sad, and as his body became more alight than it had ever been in his life, he couldn't help the whisper of a whine escape him as Mingi melded their lips together once more.
Needing air more than anything, he had to breath in strongly through his nose, and as he did, he hadn't meant to, but his hand on Mingi's waist gently squeezed, and it brought their chests together.
Both of them gasped, and their lips separated. The air was vibrational between them, and as they both stayed incredibly still, Yunho worked hard to process what was happening.
His hand was still grasping his waist, and his other was still tenderly cupping his cheek... In fact... he hadn't even realised his thumb was brushing delicately over his velvet skin...
He could feel Mingi's hands too... One gently pressed against his chest, and the other, having weaved itself around the back of his neck, resting flat against his bare skin...
And then there were their chests... only just brushing, they were still together, and it was incredibly nerve wracking. It felt hot... Like his skin was searing...
But as Mingi suddenly took a short, unsteady breath and let millimeters of space form between them, Yunho felt like a sea had been poured between them.
Gently massaging his waist, Yunho brought him back, and as he did, he felt lightning hit him as his bottom lip accidentally brushed against Mingi's...
'Yun... Are you okay...?'
He wondered how the hell Mingi could find his voice. With so much going on inside his system, Yunho couldn't hope to think sentences, let alone speak them. Not when he had Mingi literally in his grasp... Right here...
Just now, he had kissed him... Again...
And dear god, he wanted badly to kiss him again, for the second time that day...
'Yun-ah...'
Get a hold of yourself, he told himself, taking a deep breath. Resting his forehead against his, he closed his eyes and forced himself to count to ten - anything to try and bring him back to earth...
'Min-ah...' he whispered, momentarily distracted by how much he realised he liked the sound of his name on his tongue...
'Min...' he whispered again, sighing gently in content as he felt himself somehow mysteriously relax against him. 'Thank you for not pushing me away...'
And whether he meant physically, during their kiss... Or emotionally, regarding their friendship, he didn't know.
But it didn't matter, because it was all the same.
Suddenly, Yunho gasped as a spidery sensation on his neck erupted down his spine and made him shudder...
Mingi brushing his fingertips over his skin.
Jesus, fucking, christ.
He had never felt that in his life... It was like Mingi had turned on every single nerve ending, making them all fire, at once...
'Yun-ah... I think you're really tired... You will probably regret this...'
He took a deep breath against his lips, jolting as he accidentally brushed his lips against him. 'Maybe...' he replied softly...
But as he failed to restrain from brushing his thumb over his side, he swallowed in conviction. 'But I don't think so. I have wanted to kiss you again, right from the moment you stopped us...' he whispered.
Mingi's breath caught, and a small whisper of a gasp sounded between them.
Yunho loved it.
'I thought you said San told you not to name things...' Mingi whispered almost playfully.
And suddenly, like a hammer taken to a pane of glass, Yunho's nerves shattered. With a newfound comfort to accompany his jittery stomach and spidery skin, Yunho found himself almost laughing against him.
'He did. But I'm not naming, anything. I'm just saying how I feel. I have no idea what it means, but I at least know that...'
Through hooded eyes, he saw Mingi gently lick at his lips, before he took one last breath, and painfully tore himself from his side.
His heart fell. 'Min-ah, I'm trying,' he breathed, and his words had been so heartfelt and guttural that they had hurt to speak.
But instead of giving him that sad, broken look, he offered a small, shy smile in its place. 'I know~' he said simply, and as he gently raised a hand and brushed his thumb over his bottom lip, Yunho fucking melted.
'Come on~' Mingi said gently, stepping out of his grasp. Taking a book from the shelf, he took Yunho by the arm and led him back to their bags, sitting them down side by side.
Computers out and attempting to study, Yunho however just could not think. His mind was alight with what had just happened, and his skin still tingled...
Glancing down at Mingi who was reading something on his laptop, he couldn't help but stare at his hand resting atop his thigh... That hand, had the power to make him literally float into another dimension. That one hand... He was a magician, and with just a brush over his skin, he held the power of lightning in his fingertips...
Before he even knew what he was doing, he watched his body act like it was someone else's... It reached out, trailing down his forearm and causing his hand to turn over, before suddenly entwining his fingers in his.
Absolutely awestruck, he watched Mingi's fingers gently curled over the back of his hand...
He saw Mingi glance at their hands tenderly tangled together atop his thigh, and watched as those dark eyes flickered to gauge his reaction.
Yunho felt jittery and nervous and was overwhelmed with lightning stemming down his arm...
But amongst that, he felt suddenly calm... like having their hands entwined together - having a point that was touching him, in a tender way -... it made him relax.
And suddenly, he felt that he could think.
Mingi slowed everything down for him... Made him able to focus through the chaos...
Squeezing his hand, he glanced up at Mingi and offered him a small, thankful smile.
And to his utter relief, it was returned.
Staring into each other's eyes for a long few moments, as their gaze parted, they both returned to their work. But with their hands embedded together and Yunho's shoulder burning as he shuffled a little closer, a new kind of dynamic fell upon the two.
It almost felt like for the first time, they were both, calm.
Happily sitting, spending time together, whilst working... It was something Yunho had missed from before things had become complicated.
But being able to hold his hand... Yunho had sorely underestimated how intense the feeling could be, and couldn't help but find himself wondering how on earth San could be so lovey dovey with his boyfriend, when Yunho was just melting by only touching his skin...
'Yun-ah... Did you find your textbook?' Mingi suddenly asked.
And Yunho's cheeks burned as he remembered he'd left it behind. 'I- well... I did... but um... I might have... forgotten about it...'
Mingi's lips pulled into an amused smile, and as Yunho began to struggle with wanting to run and get it for him, and not wanting to let go of his hand, Mingi shook his head. 'It's okay, I'll get the online one~' he said softly.
And as Yunho's cheeks burned, Mingi cooed. 'Naw~. If you keep looking at me like that, you're never going to get anything done,' he said softly with a slight hint of teasing in his voice.
And as he reached up and ruffled Yunho's hair a little with his spare hand, he fucking melted.
'I don't think I was ever going to get anything done in the first place.
