When we got to the restaurant, Travis welcomed me with open arms.

"I'm sorry that you had to drive a little ways," Travis apologized.

"Oh, it's okay. Traffic was light." I told him.

"Traffic wasn't bad? That's great! Okay, now, I want to introduce you to a few people if that's okay with you." Travis said.

"Before that, can I introduce you to some of my family members?" I asked as they were standing right behind me.

"Oh, of course. Sorry, I'm Travis Owens. It's nice to meet you." Travis said as he went to go shake Aunt Tracey's hand.

"I'm Skyler's aunt. My name is Tracey." Tracey smiled as she shook his hand.

"And who are you?" Travis smiled as he looked down at Drew.

"I'm Skyler's brother...Drew." Drew introduced himself.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, bud. Here, I'm going to find you guys a table. Also, if you get anything here, it's on me." Travis said nicely, and then started walking.

Aunt Tracey, Drew, and I followed him to an empty table close to a platform.

I'm guessing I'll be on that platform.

"Here you guys go and lookie there...you'll have a clear view of Skyler." Travis smiled.

"Am I preforming on that platform there?" I asked.

"Yes ma'am you are." Travis said in a very happy tone.

"Hey Travis, thanks for all of this.." Aunt Tracey said.

"No problem. Skyler is very talented. Okie dokey, Skyler, before you go on the platform, do you need to tune your guitar?" Travis asked me.

"I do need to tune my guitar, actually. I also need to go use the bathroom, if you don't mind." I said.

"I don't mind at all. The bathroom is down that hallway to the left." Travis said as he pointed to where the bathroom was.

I set me guitar down by Drew while saying, "Thanks."

Then, I walked to the bathroom.

I entered and went to the restroom.

When I was finished, I washed my hands.

As I washed my hands, I looked at myself in the mirror.

"You're amazing, Skyler. You are awesome. You got this." I told myself.

I dried my hands off with a paper towel, and then left the bathroom.

I looked around and there were no signs of Shawn anywhere.

I grabbed my guitar, and then tuned it.

It took me a few seconds, but I finished tuning it.

Once I was done tuning it, I followed Travis onto the platform.

"Check, check, check. Hello everyone. Travis Owens, here. We have a special guest here to join us tonight. Actually, she will be joining us every Tuesday and Thursday night from now on. Her name is Skyler Jones. She has a YouTube channel currently where she posts videos of her singing. Now, let me just tell you, this girl can sing. Speaking of singing, Skyler came to sing for us, so I should shut up and let her sing." Travis said, and then handed me the microphone.

"Um...hi. I'm Skyler. I hope you guys are having a fun night tonight. This first song I'm going to sing I wrote myself. It's called No Air. I hope you like it." I said, put the microphone in the stand in front of me, positioned the guitar comfortably in my arms, and then started playing.

I started singing the song as well.

Surprisingly, I wasn't that nervous.

I was super confident at the moment.

When that song ended, everyone in the restaurant clapped for me.

I smiled super big and said in the microphone, "Thank you."

"Woohoo sis!" Drew cheered.

I chuckled saying, "Thank you, Drew. Okay, this next song is called My Life Would Suck Without You."

Then, that's when I saw Shawn.

He had just entered the restaurant.

We made eye contact.

"You got this," he mouthed.

I looked down at my guitar and started playing the chords to My Life Would Suck Without You.

A few seconds later, I started singing the song.

Guess this means you're sorry
You're standing at my door
Guess this means you take back
All you said before
Like how much you wanted
Anyone but me
Said you'd never come back
But here you are again
'Cause we belong together now, yeah
Forever united here somehow, yeah
You got a piece of me
And honestly
My life (my life) would suck (would suck) without you
Maybe I was stupid
For telling you goodbye
Maybe I was wrong
For tryin' to pick a fight
I know that I've got issues
But you're pretty messed up too
Either way I found out I'm nothing without you
'Cause we belong together now, yeah
Forever united here somehow, yeah
You got a piece of me
And honestly
My life (my life) would suck (would suck) without you
Being with you is so dysfunctional
I really shouldn't miss you
But I can't let you go
Oh yeah
'Cause we belong together now, yeah yeah
Forever united here somehow, yeah
You got a piece of me
And honestly
My life (my life) would suck (would suck) without you
'Cause we belong (yeah) together now (together now), (yeah)
Forever united here somehow, yeah
You got a piece of me and honestly
My life (my life) would suck (would suck) without you

Throughout the song, I kept looking at Shawn.

Shawn kept smiling at me.

I couldn't help it, but I gave him a short soft smile back.

Once that song ended, everyone clapped including Shawn.

"You look like you want to talk to him, do you?" Travis sneaked up on me asking.

"If you don't mind, I would love to talk to him." I told Travis.

"Go ahead." Travis said, and then took the microphone.

As I walked off the platform, Travis said in the microphone, "She's going to take a small break, but she will be back in a few."

Travis is truly amazing.
