Chapter 21- But I Was Breathless By The Look In Her Eyes

I chuckled softly and got up to go wash my face. I needed a splash of water to wake me up a little. This was going to be a long day.

Nathan’s P.O.V

“Nathan!”

“Nath!”

“Nathaannn!!”

“NATHAN SYKES!”

“What? What do you want?!” I groaned and tried to sink my head deeper into my pillow to try and drown out everyone’s voices. It was sometime early in the morning and we were supposed to be on vacation. I really didn’t like the fact that the boys were trying to wake me up right now for who knows what reason.

“Get up you lazyass, we need to drive the girls to the airport and say goodbye!” Tom exclaimed and ran to go check himself in the mirror one more time.

“Yeah come on, we’re supposed to meet them in the lobby in like 20 minutes, you can’t be late again!” Max added and smelled a random shirt he picked up on the floor and threw it over his head. “Wake up, Nath!”

I forced myself up and rubbed my eyes. All the guys were running around the room frantically, trying to make sure they looked and smelled decent. Tom was looking in the mirror. Jay was fixing his hair. Siva was trying to button his shirt. And Max was trying to find a shirt that didn’t reek.

Jay paused his little hair session and turned around to give me an annoyed look. “Come on Nath!”

“Alright, alright, I’m up.” I said and got up. Noticing that the bathroom was empty, I walked over slowly and closed the door behind me. I looked at myself in the large mirror and rubbed my eyes again. I ran my fingers through my hair a bit too and sighed. I needed to do something with Jordan. I needed to ask her out. Something. I had to do it today. I have to say something before she just leaves.

Jordan’s P.O.V

“Did everyone get everything?!” Rachael asked frantically and ran around the room trying to make sure nothing was left behind.

If you haven’t noticed yet, she was the ‘clean freak’ of the group.

“Rach, will you relax? Everything’s packed and ready. It’s nearly 4:05, come on, we need to get down to the lobby and check out.” Heather said and tied her shoe lace. She stood up and grabbed the handle to her suitcase. “Now come on, take a deep breath and let’s just go. The guys are probably down there already.”

“Yeah, I wanna see my Maxy before I leave!” Kat said impatiently and pulled her Hello Kitty carry on bag over her head.

I grabbed the two straps on my backpack and pulled it closer to my back as I leaned against the wall. “Rach, if we miss our flight, I know who to blame.”

Rachael shook her head and grabbed a snapback from her carry on bag. “There’s nothing wrong with just making sure everything is in the right place.” She said and opened the door. “Alright girls, this is it.”

“I’ma miss this place.” Heather breathed out. “This sure was one heck of a vacation. I’ll never forget it.”

“I’ll never forget the boys.” Willow added. She chuckled softly and placed a hand on Rachael’s shoulder. “I owe it to you girls. If ya’ll didn’t get all high on all that sugar at the airport, I probably would’ve never left you guys to go check our ride and met the boys.”

“I thank *NSYNC for doing it first and inspiring them to do it!” I said with a laugh and stepped out of the room.

“Yes, oh that was fun, even though I forget like half of it because all that sugar really got to me.” Heather said and walked behind me. “But still, I am glad we did it.”
