"Wow..." I looked around seeing all this... flora and it was just breathtaking. Of course, the fairies would use the world around them in decoration and shit but... I didn't realize it would be so beautiful.

"I know right." I glanced over at Virgil and felt my heart start to race. He was smiling slightly as his hair fell into his eyes, this slight blush powered his cheeks. He looked over at me and his smile got wider. "Patton out did himself don't you think?" I just nodded as I followed him down this hall. He stopped at this door and smiled a little before opening it to reveal a very happy looking Deceit. "One would think you missed this."

"I did." He looked up and frowned seeing me behind Virgil. "Though it wasn't all bad there."

"Well, you were there longer than I can remember so... That had to be something you liked enough to stay." I said as I walked farther in the room. Deceit's eyes just narrowed and I smiled. His room wasn't that different than I would expect a teenagers room. Posters littered the wall. Stuffed animals and what not covered the shelves. There was even a potted plant. How it stayed alive for twenty years, I have no clue... Let's just chalk it up to fairy magic.

"Who the fuck opened this..." We all spun around to see King Logan standing there frozen in shock and I laughed awkwardly.

"H-Hey there Your Highness." I said as he looked between the three of us, narrowing his eyes. "Nice to see you again?" He shook himself from his thoughts and smiled.

"Sorry, I just wasn't expecting any of you." He seemed to glare and Virgil. "You didn't call."

"Sorry..." Logan just shook his head and pulled Virgil into a hug.

"Don't be. I'm just glad you're ok."

"Well, that's touching but we have something we have to get." Deceit said as he started to stand up. Logan just rolled his eyes smiling.

"And you haven't changed much. I didn't get to see you at the... at the party." He looked away and I started to get uncomfortable. It was my friend that did this. It was my party. But... I wasn't the one that got hurt.

"Hey, don't worry about it. Dad was hurt. I would have had a problem if you were with me and not him." Deceit said trying to cheer him up, but I don't think it really worked. Logan looked up at me and his face went neutral.

"Come find me before you guys set off again. There are things we must discuss, Roman." He walked out of the room before anyone could say anything and I just stood there lost.

"Ok... What was that about?" They both shrugged and I watched as they started to leave. I followed them of course. I didn't know where we were going. I've never been here before.

I found myself looking up at this big round black door and I cringed. It looked so... ominous. Virgil walked right up to it and placed his hand on this plague. I watched as it started to glow and open on its own. I wanted to run. I mean... How would you feel it this scary ass door started to open on its own. We don't have anything like that. It was creepy.  I watched as the two of them started to go in and I just couldn't move. I don't know. It was like something was telling me I really shouldn't go in there. Not that I didn't belong no more like the opposite. That I if I did then there was no going back.

"You ok, bud." My eyes went wide as I looked over to see Deceit standing there. I smiled awkwardly and nodded as I followed him in. The moment I passed the threshold the door slammed shut and I jump. The light's turned on and I found myself in this... How do I explain it?

It looked like that weird alter thing from the fifth element that Leeloo and Korben had to stand on in order to do the thing that made the asteroid go poof. There was his small pool in the center that opened out to the sky... and floating above it was this spear. Virgil looked over at Deceit and I watched as the snake man walked over to the pool.

Roman... I looked around confused at the sudden voice in my ears.

Roman, Welcome. I started to back up out of fear but this wash of energy stopped me in my tracks. Don't go.

"What..." I whispered causing the two of them to look over at me confused. I felt this pull and I narrowed my eyes.

Come... I shook my head and Virgil started to look worried. You belong here.

"Not gonna happen." I watched as Deceit grabbed the spear and suddenly everything went cold.

Don't fight it.

"Enough."

Roman...

"Stop."

Stay here.

"Shut up."

Come.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!" I fell to my knees and suddenly I had someone pull me in. I looked over to see the spear on the ground and Virgil standing over me. "What..."

"Don't listen to it." I pulled away slightly to see Deceit very scared. "Don't listen."

"Deceit, what going on?" Virgil's voice was shaky and I could see the panic in his eyes. "What's happening?"

"He never should've came in here. That's my fault..."

Roman, don't listen to them. You belong here. You...

"SHUT THE HELL UP!" I yelled again and Deceit tensed up. I looked up at Deceit with tears in my eyes and he frowned.

"Virgil I need you to take Roman since you can't touch the spear." Virgil nodded but I could tell he was as confused as I was. "Take him to my room for now, ok?"

"But De..."

"Now Virgil!" Deceit got up and picked the spear off the floor as Virgil walked over and helped me off the ground. The room started to shake as Virgil and I started making our way out and Deceit just groaned.

You can leave, Roman. But you can't run from the truth. It will catch up before you even realize!
