Chapter 15- Make A Move

I grinned widely and closed my eyes. “YOU LOVE ME JUST THE WAY I AM!” I shouted.

“SADLY!” Heather shouted back from outside.

“Alright, we’re heading to the cafeteria here.” Willow said and grabbed Siva’s hand. He stood up and gave her a weird look. “But the food here is terrible!”

“Well food is food, boy!” Willow replied and pulled him outta the room. “LATER JORDAN!”

“We’re heading out too. See ya soon!” Rachael said and left with Jay.  “Come on Kitty Kat, you’re coming with us.”

Kat jumped at the sound of her name and bolted towards the door after Rachael & Jay. “COMINGG!!! Come on Max!”

Max followed her orders and went after her.

“Well, see ya later Dani.” Nathan smirked and got up. I threw him back a similar smirk and waved. “Later Sid!”

“Ha ha ha, so funny.” He said and tried to hold back his smile. “I’ll be back up here later.”

“Ya know, you don’t have to be by me 24/7.” I said a little jokingly, hoping that he wouldn’t take it seriously. If there were someone I wanted by my side the whole time, I would want it to be Nathan. And the fact that he actually has been with me throughout the whole coma is pretty amazing. He was the first person I saw when I finally opened my eyes, and I wouldn’t change that.

His eyes turned a bit serious and he had a little hint in them. I nearly melted. “You can’t get rid out of me that easily, Blake.” He said with a smile.

“Good.” I replied before he smiled once more and turned around to walk out the door.

The doctor peeked out of the corner of his eyes from the machine and smiled. “You two are cute. Ya know, together.”

Finally realizing what he said, I shook my head quickly and denied. “Oh no, we’re not like that. We’re just friends. That’s all.” I replied sadly.

Doctor Connor chuckled softly and went over to quickly jot something down on his clipboard. “Well I’m no love doctor, but I’ve seen something like this happen before, with one of my own kids. Trust me, by the look in that young man’s eyes, he surely has something for you.”

I sighed and started playing with my fingers, knowing what he said was true. My eyes wandered the room a bit, searching for something. I didn’t even know how to reply to him.

“Sorry to get into your personal life, but when you something like that in your life, you can’t just let it pass by.” He said and went back to look at another machine.

I nodded and bit my lip a little. “Well you’re right Doc.” I pulled the blanket closer to me and sighed for the hundredth time today. “But I’m just gonna wait ‘till the time’s right.”

Nathan’s P.O.V

Deciding that I needed some air, I walked outside and stood right in front of the hospital door, taking in the night. It was a bit chilly, but I didn’t mind.

All I could think about was Jordan. Why couldn’t I make a move on her? I don’t really know. I don’t feel like it’s the right time. With the whole Jason incident that happened, I don’t think now is the right time to fully confess my feelings for her.

I let out a sigh and ran my fingers through my hair. “Why are relationships so difficult?” I asked to no one in particular. There was no one outside other than me, so I was basically talking to the air.

“Talking to yourself again Nath? You’re a creepy little guy ya know.” I heard a voice say from behind me.

I turned my head and caught sight of Jay. He smiled and stood next to me, leaning on the wall. “How’s life been treating ya, mate?”

“Not the best.” I replied truthfully.

“It’s about Jordan, isn’t it?” he asked, reading my mind. The fact that Jay always knew what was on my mind creeped me out a bit.

And people say Jaythan isn’t true…….pshh, it’s true and this is proof. [:P].

“How is it that you always know what I’m thinking about?”

Jay chuckled and stared at the ground. “Nath, if this is Jordan we’re talking, it’s obvious to anyone how you feel about her. The way you look at her is simply different than you look at anyone else. And she’s like all you’ve been talking about lately. You really like her Nathan, and everyone knows it. Everyone but Jordan apparently.”

“Oh come on, you’re basically saying I’m an open book. If everyone else can see my feelings for her, I’m sure she can see it herself as well.” I scoffed and started kicking the ground a little bit. “It’s actually good that she probably knows. Maybe then it’ll make everything easier for me.”

“Nathan, nothing’s gonna happen if you don’t make a move. Yeah, Jordan went through a hardship recently, but you were there for her the whole time. I think she’s starting to get the clue.  But even if you don’t do anything soon, she’s going to give up on you.” Jay said and got off the wall. He turned to me before going back into the hospital. “Jordan’s one in a million. Don’t let her slip away.”

And with that, he left me standing there in the night, thinking about what he just said.

Oh gosh Jay, why do you always have to be right?
