Chapter 9- Darkness

“Aye, I wasn’t the one who woke you up! And yeah, I could just go back to the hotel and hang with Siva.” Willow winked at Siva and he smiled.

“Weird.” Nathan and I said at the same time. I smiled at him and grabbed his hand. “Let’s go get a ride.”

“Hang on, I’ll go with you.” Nathan said as we walked into the hotel lobby.

“Come on Nath, I’m gonna take a nap. Do you honestly wanna follow me up there and end up just watching me sleep?” I questioned and walked over to the elevator.

“Well it’s better than being in my room alone and bored.” He replied and pressed the elevator button.

I scrunched my nose a little and started to think. I don’t know why, but it’s just a habit I’ve had since I was a little kid. Whenever I’d be thinking, I’d scrunch my nose. It’s quite annoying to me and unattractive to others I’m guessing.

Ding!

The elevator door opened and we stepped inside. “Alright Nath, we can hang in my room for a bit.”

“Sounds great.” He smiled.

We walked down the little hallway and finally got to my room.  There was some kind of tropical storm going on at the moment, so it was pretty dark in here even though it was only like 3 in the afternoon.

I smirked to myself. “I bet Kat and Max are having a wonderful time looking at the dolphins right now.”

“And Rachael and Jay are sure enjoying the beach probably.” Nathan added.

I laughed and opened the door.

It was insanely dark in there.

“Lights, lights….” I mumbled as my hand wandered on the wall, looking for the light switch. “Ah ha!” I finally found it and flicked it on.

The room was soon illuminated, looking the same as it did this morning.

Messy.

The girls and I aren’t slogs, that’s for sure, but the one thing we really  don’t like is making our beds. We always just get up and leave them all messy. Except Kat. She’s a bit of a clean freak. Always checking our rooms at home, making sure they’re spotless and organized.

I put my room key on my nightstand. “Well, make yourself at home I guess. Even though it’s a hotel.”

Nathan laughed and without hesitation, went and plopped down on the couch. He grabbed the remote and started flicking through the channels until he found a soccer game.

I took off my beanie and threw it on my bed.

I was about to sit down on the couch next to Nathan, when I noticed something weird.

“Hey Nathan?”

“Yeah?”

“Umm when you were last to leave the room this morning, did you leave our connecting door open?” I asked, pointing to the open door that connected the two rooms.

He looked back at the door and shrugged. “No, I’m pretty sure it was closed when I left. Don’t worry, maybe it was just the cleaning ladies coming in here or something.”

“Well if they were in here, then our beds would have been made.” I pointed to our messy beds. I felt a cold chill run up my spine. Something wasn’t right.

“Oh come on Jordan, I think you’re losing it. Don’t worry. Maybe the hotel people just came in here to check something. We’re in a hotel for crying out loud, people can’t really ‘break in here’ without going through the lobby first.” Nathan reassured me.

Maybe I was losing it. I shrugged it off and put my hair up in a ponytail. “Yeah, guess you’re right. Hey, I think Kat stole my PJ’s, I’ma just go check for them in her room. Be right back.”

“Alright, I’ll miss you.” Nathan joked.

I chuckled a little. “You’re too cute.”

“You’re cuter.” He argued.

I stuck out my tongue and went into the other room. It was dark in there also. I searched for the light switch and flicked it on like I did in my room.

I saw my PJ’s right on Kat’s bed. “Oh Kat, stealing other people’s clothes.”

I walked over to the bed and was about to take the clothes when I felt a hand over my mouth.

“You say a word, and it’ll be your last.”

 IT’S SUCKISH I KNOW. I wanted some type of cliff hanger because..because….’CAUSE I JUST WANTED A CLIFFHANGER.

Haha well I will update this very soon, so don’t worry, you’ll get to see what the heck is going on with Jordan if you're at all interested. :P things will get interesting soon…. I hope. xD
