Chapter 57: Labor

~Venus~

Everyone left the coffee house except me and Aron.
Aron scooted next to me in the booth.

Our shoulders brushed up against each other gently as he moved his arm to itch his eye.
''It isn't true ok. I just know it."

"Venus...What are we doing here?"
He then stares at me dropping his arm onto the table.

"We are talking about what is gonna happen-"
He gestures me to stop.

"No I mean what are we doing? Like I can tell you still have feelings for me, because I do. I can't have these feelings for someone that I can't have.
I never have felt this way about anyone in my life."

He takes my hand and holds it. He was right I feel the sameway.

"I love you."

I love you too.

"We can't though. People will find out about us."

He cups my face in his hands. "We can keep our relationship secret. Anything to have you in my arms again."
We barley had any breathing room.

"Wouldn't people find it sick?"

"Sick?" He drops his hands from my face. "Nevermind then. Forget everything I said. Because sick is different and far from being in love."
He then got out of the booth and walked out of the coffee place.

"Aron."
He glanced at me before he left in the rain storm. It reminded me of that day when we both first met. It was storming and I had saved him from a car hitting him.

Then I got out of the booth going after him as well so that I could make things right.

He was waiting for a taxi outside of the coffee house.

"Aron! Wait!" I yelled over the storm.

I was struggling to walk with my belly poping out. Then I felt these huge pains going up and down.

"Ah! Woah!"
I was about to fall until Aron caught me in his arms and my back about broke.

"Ahhh!!"
Everyone's eyes where on ours.

Aron snapped. "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS SHE IS JUST GIVING BIRTH OK!"

Then a sweet couple came over. "You can take our cab."

"Thank you so much."
He said as he asked the guy to help him carry Venus without hurting her so much.

''Ok get ready."
The man nodded.

"Venus this will hurt just breathe-"
Then every last word became a ringing sound to me and pain shot up my back.

"Ahh!! Hell!!"
Then he and the man set me in the back seat gently.

"Thank you sir."
He tilts his hat and moves with his wife away.

"I will be in the front seat."
He said to me and shut the taxi door.

Another contraction came up and down my bladder area.
"Ow! AH!"

"You want the seats warm miss?"

"JUST DRIVE!!!"
I said in a deep and angry voice that scared the taxi man half to death.

"AHH!"
Aron held my hand and I smiled at him.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"Were are we taking her sir?"
He asked him this time.

''Hotel Inn. Not the hospital."

"Ok if you say so."
He steps on the wheels and smiles.
"If your delivering the baby at home you best want me driving crazy."

Aron chuckled and smiled at the taxi driver.
I felt it, I felt everything then I felt nothing.

"I can't breathe Aron! I can't..."

I struggled and he became so worried he yelled. "Go faster! NOW!'' so thw taxi man drove 97 miles per hour.

"I can't- f-f-feel my -l-legs."
I squeezed his hand tightly and I saw something in Aron's eyes that I never have seen before.

Fear, pain. Sadness.

He bagan to cry. "I can't loose you. I just can't."

"You won't." I said with a crack in my voice.

Then the taxi driver swirved in front of the hotel.

"Alright let's go."
Said Aron as he paid the man and carried me out in and up the stairs.

There was to long of a line with the elevator. Then 4 minutes later we reached my room and he set me down on the bed.

"I will call Seth."

He did and laid a towel under my legs while doing so. "Hello?"

"Seth run. Run as fast as you can to the hotel now! Venus is giving labor."

He didn't hesitate he just hung up.
Then Aron was by my side and he held my hand.

"I think I'm paralyzed."

I said as I felt myself struggle again with breathing. I coughed and then felt my baby was coming.

"Venus look at me look at me. We can get through this, your gonna get through this. Your stronger than anyone I know. Your the bravest person I have ever met."

I stare at him as he kisses my forhead and I feel a tear drop from my eye. He pulls away and stares at me still.

Then a few moments later Seth arrives with Alison. "Ok I have someone who may be able to help. She knows some stuff."

Alison came by me and she looked down there to see how far I was.
She looks at Seth. "She has 8 centimeters. It won't be long now."

"Why is she like this?"
Asked Seth all frustrated.

''Looks like the child is so powerful, that its crushing her from the inside out. It's killing her. She...she won't survive."

Alison spoke with a sob.

I then looked away and held my stomach.

I look over at Aron and see he is avoiding my gaze. He stares at the wall next to me while saying, "Is there any other way?"

"I don't think so, if there is I would have known."

"Well think Charlotte think!"

Then her eyes widened and Eli looks at him wired. "Charlotte?"

"Her real names Charlotte you didn't know that?"

"No I didn't."

Then Eli left...
