There once was a day,

where we celebrated the dead,

in cemeteries children would play,

as visions of sugar skulls danced in their head.

We would decorate their space,

on those hollow grounds,

putting the decorations in place,

the amount, holding no bounds.

The party would last all night,

As we celebrated our family members,

Memories taking flight,

as the fire turned to embers.

There was once a day,

For family and foe's,

There was once a day,

Called Dia De Los Muertos
