This is a poem that shows the desperation my wife and I battled and finally triumphed over... She truly saved me from absolute total annihilation... I hope you enjoy reading about it.

"You know me more than I do," she smiled. "What else is there that you want to know?" "I want to know why you've built these walls around yourself. I want to know why you don't open up to people." "I don't know. Maybe, I'm afraid to spill too much. I feel scared to confess my secrets to people because I know they'll go away once they know." "What makes you so sure?" he asked. She gave him a painful smile. "Haven't they always done that? Everyone that has come in my life has taken their benefit out of it and gone away. They come and go. And I don't know why I've opened too much to you. I must be stupid to do that, because I know that one day, you'll go away too. And it is going to hurt me a lot because I've plunged way too deep to come out unharmed." He looked in her eyes for what seemed like ages before saying in a low whisper, "Here's one thing I can promise you, Gwen. I won't go away. I'm not like the others. I'm here to stay."
