I smiled at her weakly. “Thanks, Suzanne. You’re the best friend anyone can have.” I sniffed. “Can you call Miranda? I just wanted to have you two here…”

She nodded. “Sure. Anything for you.”

Suzanne excused herself to call Miranda. Vince looked at me warily. He never gets women’s feelings so whenever I have these “moments”, he stays away from me. But this time, he didn’t. He sat down beside me and squeezed my hand reassuringly. “Suzanne is right.”

I nodded. “She’s amazing. You’re lucky to have her.” I looked at him sternly. “So don’t you ever hurt her and make her cry because I swear, even though you are my brother, I could kill you.”

Vince smiled. “I won’t. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you… Suzanne and I are together already.”

I gasped. At least someone is having a good time in their love life. At least someone is happy with their loved one. “Congratulations! That’s great. Seriously,” I said, smiling. “I’m happy for you.”

“I’m happy for me, too,” he joked and I rolled my eyes.

We settled into a comfortable silence until I broke it. “You’re not going to hurt Ian, are you?”

            Vince’s jaw tightened. “Maybe.”

I sighed. “Don’t, Vince. Even though he’s a heartless bastard who used me, I still love him. Please.”

He rolled his eyes. “Fine. But that doesn’t mean I can’t kick him out at the football team.”

            “Vince,” I said warningly.

He sighed in an annoyed way. “Fine! You win! You’re lucky that I love you and you’re my sister!”

I smirked. “Did you just say that you love me?”

“You know what? I’m outta here,” he stated and he stood up to leave. I just laughed at him.

After five minutes, Miranda arrived with Evan. She already knew what happened since Suzanne explained it to her on the phone and I was grateful for that. There’s no way I can’t explain from the top again. I’ll just burst into hysterical tears.

“I’m so sorry,” Miranda cried as she hugged me. “You don’t deserve to experience this again! I mean, you’re just a girl who fell in love. You don’t deserve to be hurt.”

I sniffed. “I know. Life is just unfair.”

When she let go of me, I turned to Evan who was looking at me guiltily. “Victoria… I tried to warn you. But you said you don’t feel anything for him. I believed you so I didn’t warn you again. Why didn’t you tell me you fell for him?”

I shrugged. “I think I just want to keep it to myself.”

“I’m talking to Ian later,” Evan promised.

I sighed. “There’s no use for that, Evan. Even though he begs me forgiveness or kiss the hems of my skirt… I think I won’t ever believe him anymore. I think I’m never going to love again. There’s no use. I’ll just end up being hurt.”

“I really thought Ian was the right person,” Miranda said sympathetically. “Really. He seemed like a good person. If you compare him to Lance, he’s better. But… some people are just really good actors.”

Vince cleared his throat and the three of us turned to his direction. “So, Evan, would you want to go out to have some drink or something? I think the girls would want to have the house for themselves.”

Evan nodded and smiled a small smile to me. “I better take this offer. Maybe we’re going to talk about how we’re going to kill my brother.”

            I gaped at him. “Evan!”

He laughed. “Kidding. Anyway, I’ll see you later.” He kissed Miranda’s cheek and hugged her. “I’ll see you later, okay? Bye.”

“Bye,” Miranda said, smiling at him. Then she turned to me, still beaming. “We’re taking it slow but we’re not yet together. But I think we’re getting to that.”

We heard the front door close as we joined Suzanne on the couch. She was grinning at us in a weird way as if she has some good news—a very, very good news.

“Uh-oh, you and Vince together?” Miranda asked as she slumped beside Suzanne.

She gasped. “Oh my God, how did you know?”

“Just a lucky guess,” Miranda said, shrugging.

I sat beside Miranda, trying to look happy for Suzanne’s sake. But, truth to be told, I’m feeling a little bit jealous of Suzanne’s happy love life. Why does others got to be happy while I’m here, trying to mend another broken heart? How could life be unfair?

Suddenly, my phone vibrated on my pockets. When I snapped it open, I narrowed my eyes as I saw who sent the message. Why the hell is Ian texting me?

His text was only two short phases, small but sweet. I love you. I’m sorry.

Hey! :)) You all know that Victoria Strauss is played by Jennifer Lawrence and that Ian Jones is played by Josh Hutcherson, right? xD Well, I just want to share that Jennifer Lawrence won the Best Female Performance in the MTV Awards and that Josh Hutcherson won the Best Male Performance in the MTV Awards!!! :D OMG, I'm so happy. <3 The both of them won. xD And they also won the Best Fight. :D Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson VS Alexander Ludwig. :)) Hahaha, that was the part when Cato (Alexander Ludwig) was really bloody on the Hunger Games movie. xD Hahaha.
