Ivy is based on the mythical creature called a 'Tammer', a popular pet of elves.
Here's the sad back story, ready for the feels.
Ivy has memory loss since her ear was ripped off, by Undyne, and she received a huge blow to the head. Emily is currently raising her and helping her regain her memory.
All Ivy can remember is how her parents died (slaughtered by the Royal Guard), that she is a member of the Phoenix Clan, and her name. Emily is guessing she is Amor's age, which would be her early teens.
Ivy is easily scared and only trusts the members of the pack family. Ivy is afraid of water, cause of Undyne, strangers, and basically the outside grounds of the pack.
