After I had dropped the kids off at school I went back home.

Kaden's POV
The first few people I walked into when I entered the school were my bullies. They were shocked to see me still alive.
They approached me.
"How the hell are you alive? I stabbed you in your heart, you should be six feet under."
"I was lucky to receive immediate medical attention." I replied.
"Well, that medical attention will have been for nothing. After I'm done with you, your going to wish that you stayed home today."
"And what are you going to do? Slit my throat? Stab me again? Push me down the stairs and beat me mercilessly? Or all of the above?" I questioned.
"All of the above."
"Well, good luck with that." I stated.
"We don't need luck."
I looked around and noticed that Jason was starting to approach me. I smiled when I saw him.
"Why are you smiling?"
Jake then pushed me back. I stumbled down to the ground and just stayed there.
Jake and his buddies stood over me, I didn't even have to look at them to know that they were looking down on me.
"You're just as weak as you are pathetic."
Jake and his buddies soon departed.
"Hey, are you all right?" Jason queried, while holding out his hand.
I looked up at Jason, accepted his hand, and as Jason helped me off the ground I said, "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks."
"You really should stand up to your bullies. If you don't this'll just keep on happening."
"Oh, so you would like for me to die? Then why'd you stop me from taking my own life?"
"Because we're friends and you mean a lot to me. I promise you that when you stand up to your bullies they won't hurt you. When I stood up to my brother, he stopped."
"But it's not the same. If I stand up to those three, they'll just beat me until I'm dead or until they give me a concussion. Maybe I should've just stayed home. I had a feeling stuff like this would happen."
"Don't give them the satisfaction."
I sighed.
"If it means that much to you, I'll stay for the whole day."

Daniel's POV
"I know it hasn't been that long since I dropped the kids off at school, but I'm worried about Kaden. I hope he's all right."
"I'm sure he's fine, Daniel."
"I hope so."
"I can assure you that he'll be fine, trust me."
"I do."
"Anyway, I have to get going."
"Ok. See you."
Tracy then left and I was the only one home, I guess there is only one thing I can do now and that's clean the house. "At least it's something to do." I told myself.

Kaden's POV
Today in gym we were playing a different version of dodgeball. It was called doctor dodgeball. I was the doctor on my team and Stephanie was the opposing doctor.
Once everyone was ready the game began. Dodgeballs were being thrown left and right, and even up and down. It was pandemonium.
My team already had four people down, with six people still standing, excluding me.
The other team only had two people down. I had to risk saving my "injured" teammates. I ran off of the safety mat and the very first person I tagged was Joseph. After that I tagged Mary and then headed back to my mat, but just as I was about to step onto it one of my teammates reached for a ball that was just on the other side of me and tripped me.
"Are you all right, Kaden?"
"I'm fine Shawn. Thanks for asking."
"Sorry for tripping you."
"I had fun on that trip though." I chuckled.
Shawn smiled and got back to focusing on the game.
-35 minutes later-
After the game was over and my team lost, everyone decided to do forty laps around the gym.
I didn't hold back. I was just sprinting around the gym, while everyone else was just jogging.
-15 minutes later-
I had just finished the laps and boy was I out of breath. It felt as if my heart was going to explode.

3:30 pm
Daniel's POV
I was waiting outside the school and I was still waiting on Kaden.
-5 minutes later-
Alice and I were still waiting on Kaden. He was starting to worry me.
"I knew I should've kept him home today." I thought to myself.
A few seconds later
Kaden had finally left the school but the moment he got to the steps was the very moment he was shoved down them.
I looked at the three people who was behind him and just glared at them for a few seconds before I ran to help my son.
"Kaden, are you all right?"
"Yeah...I'm fine."
I helped Kaden off of the ground and we started our walk home.
