Chapter 94 - Aswang

Standing before them were hideous creatures that were more terrifying than the Oni from the Demon slayer world. However, their aroma seems far from the abilities comparable to canon fodder demons.

Trese prepared herself to fight standing her ground while Ryuu pondered how much added strength he would acquire by devouring them.

"Have you forgotten the accord of my father!?"

"That does not apply here as he had been dead and soon you as well. Take the girls and if they try to resist, kill them."

They were slowly approaching them as Trese held her knife ready to fight but Ryuu blocked her and confused Trese in the process.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm curious to test something. Let me handle them."

Ryuu summoned his [ Nichirin chain blade ] , testing if this kind of weapon and materials were useful against the supernatural. The creature or Aswang halted in fear as they saw him twirl the chain around before grabbing it and taking a deep breath.

He produces a sound reminiscent of a kettle as Ryuu looks at each of them before throwing the blade and stabbing through two of the Aswang.

After being struck by the blade and soon spun around like a ragdoll using the chain before slamming into the ground with a power flick. The Aswang was unable to get closer as he pulled the weapon and changed his stance.

[ Fourth Form - Black plague. ]

The Aswang heads and limbs were sliced cleanly without them realizing as their loss were pulled by a tendrils into Ryuu's body. His biomass was rapidly increasing and felt the small increase in his strength.

'So I only gain at most a 5% increase for every absorption I do? It's probably because they're weak.'

Ryuu didn't feel any disappointment since they were just cannon fodder as he held the leader by the neck gazing with his red beady eyes, throwing away the mask since he just wanted to have fun.

He also absorbed their soul through his [ Gluttony ] but he tries to avoid consuming too much since it might disrupt the balance and anger Ibu, the goddess of death. 

"W-Who or what are you!? Killing me won't do anything!!"

"On the contrary there is."

It was at that moment an image of his face with more eyes appearing like Alucard from hellsing as the Aswang slowly absorbed into his body. Ryuu used his magic to control the remaining corpse and absorbed it into his body.

He could feel his body changing and reconstructing itself that made him smile in delight.

The [ Blacklight Virus ] evolved the more biomass it consumed removing unnecessary things and increasing the positive traits for survival.

It is a highly adaptable pathogen and having an absolute Pathogen Physiology made him even stronger.

Then the sound of someone crashing from above and saw the twin preparing to help only to see nothing was there.

"...shoot! Are we late to the party, bossing?"

"I was just itching to gun down some Aswang!"

"Too bad boy's but he already finished them off….what did you do to Aswang?"

"I am a predator, my body is 'flesh that hates' which is why I absorb their body. Their corpse would have been wasted and it's the predator's job to consume everything as a respect to their prey."
