Chapter 11 - Slaughter

"Don't worry you'll see your family soon enough!"

"You too."

The leader flinched when he heard a voice and tried to turn when two of his lackeys were stabbed by a flying object. They were all surprised at the sudden arrival of an unknown individual.

"W-Who are you, fucker!? A cop!?"

The thugs witness a figure coming out of the shadow and see someone clad in red blood covering its entire body with pulsating mass of what seems to be blood.

From behind appeared to be four thin tendrils moving as if they were a serpent. They were shaken from the bizarre appearances of the being.

The thugs were quivering in fear as two of their friends already died and even shocked to see when the blood of their comrade started to move as it was alive towards the being.

Meanwhile, Ryuu was surprised that his theory was correct that he could use other people's blood to his advantage. However the most surprising is the lack of sympathy he was showing after killing two humans.

He was calm and stoic, feeling no emotion to the people in front of him. Ryuu is unsure if it was their sinful nature that was drowning him with anger rather than sympathy or due to his skills. It could be both.

"Bastard! Speak when someone is asking you!! What are you doing!? Shoot him!!"

Their leader's screams brought them out from their shock and started to take out their guns while Ryuu dashed his way towards them while creating a dozen small sharp blades using a fighting style reminiscent of Irelia from League of Legends.

He manipulated the small blade to slice the thugs to pieces, chopping their feet and hands. Though Ryuu was unable to evade every bullet, fortunately it was all ineffective as he had thickened his armor using their bleeding body.

"Gaaah!! My hands!!"

"Heeelp!! Aaaah!! My legs!!"

"M-Monst-gaaah!"

Soon enough the warehouse was filled with dying screams for help while being flooded by blood and metallic smell while the leader's eyes were full in despair and fear looking at the Ryuu who stood silently surrounded by vicious blood enough to cover the entire warehouse in blood.

Ryuu discovered that a small percent of outside blood could increase by several folds if he added magic. He pondered, looking at the blood, feeling a sense of thirst looking at it.

'I wonder if I drank their blood would energize my Mana reserve like dragon slayer? Well it doesn't hurt to try?'

He pondered undisturbed at the slaughter, which he himself started, focusing more on how to increase his power.

Ryuu took some of the remaining fresh blood and began to hover them towards his mouth. He somehow felt a refreshing sweet taste unlike how blood should taste which shocked him a bit, but kept going as it was too delicious.

[ Attribute stats had increased. ]

He could feel the effect of the [ Gluttony ] the moment the thugs died from blood loss. Ryuu couldn't feel any remorse and simply watched them die in agony.

His eyes held pity thinking how these men simply wanted to live but lost their path in the process. He didn't justify their action but understood the desperation.

‘'I feel like I've gotten stronger but it isn't enough.’

He thought that the lives of those he killed hardly added into his stars since they were regular humans.

Meanwhile, the leader cowardly watches in horror looking at the creature open it's mask showing a human mouth before consuming the blood. He was unable to run due to the intense fear.

The moonlight shown at Ryuu's appearing like a demon ascended from the underworld to devour the sinners. He would soon be feared by every criminal. 

Ryuu felt satisfied with the rule, seeing that he also gained at least 180 points from killing the thugs. Moments later, he glanced over to the remaining leader who flinched in fear but still did not dare to move as Ryuu got closer to him.

"Hey hey chill...I won't kill you I swear in the name of my parents." The leader did not speak, only trying his best to not turn away in fear of dying the moment he did.

"Now I want you to tell me where these leaders are and how many exactly are you?" Ryuu looking down at the trembling man unfazed by his reaction.

"...I-I..don't want to die…please don't kill me!" He lost his sanity after seeing his comrade's disembolved body that had been sliced and gutted with their blood drained. The smell was horrible that anyone whiffed of it would vomit.

"I will, just tell me what I need and I won't kill you."

Ryuu soon learns the location of each illegal loan shark as well as places that sell illegal drugs and human trafficking. He got the location in his map and smirked seeing the reward.

[ Side Mission ]

[ Task: Destroy illegal drugs and human trafficking.

Reward: 500 points, High speed thought processing. ] 

"Alright, thanks for the tip. He's all yours now."

Ryuu stood up turning his back while the leader felt despair when he turned to the side and saw the man that he was beating up earlier holding a gun pointed at him.

"Wait, you said you'd let me live if I told you everything!!!?" The man tried to plead and was in disbelief since he thought that he was set free.

"I'm afraid you're mistaken. I said I won't kill you but never said he can't."

He explained before compressing the accumulated blood into several spheres then created wings flying straight into the sky and heard a gunshot as he disappeared into the sky.
