42: she means nothing to me

Start from the beginning

She takes it off in seconds, wasting no time as she walks to her clothes and pulls them on while Domen watches her with nothing to say.

He'd never seen Evette seriously frustrated before and he still can't tell if she's jealous or angry for Lavender's sake.

"I want to go home, right now, with or without you. We can't continue this here or they'll come in and listen in to what we are saying." Evette clenches her jaw as she glares at Domen who slowly nods his head and takes the suit off. "I mean... What were you thinking!? You're marrying her best friend and you sleep with her anyway?"

"Let's talk about this somewhere else, you're starting to scream, Evette." Domen sighs as he wears his clothes before placing his wedding outfit back on the mannequin along with hers.

Evette clenches her jaw and spins on her heel before leaving the room first with rage written all over her face.

The air around her grows timid as she marches past the livingroom where his parents notice her furiously stomping away.

They quickly get up in worry and rush into the corridor, coming into contact with Domen on his way out as well.

"What happened?" Desmond asks as he glares at his son who sighs and glances at Evette still marching towards the exit.

"She's on her period all of a sudden. So she's kind of angry." Domen shrugs her shoulders and slithers past his parents and speed walks away from them, not wanting to answer any of their questions.

He spots Evette already in the car with her arms crossed on her chest as she glares ahead of her and at nothing in particular.

She is visible mad but Domen can't tell what for.

Is it because he cheated or because he slept with Lavender?

He gets into the driver's seat and closes the door once he's in, putting on his seatbelt before starting the car.

Evette chuckles in a mocking manner, getting Domen to glance at her for a moment, though she doesn't even utter a word after and turns her attention out of the car.

He starts the car and drives away from his parent's mansion, knowing too well they have to come back to show them how the outfits fit.

"Are you angry I cheated or because it's Lavender?" Domen asks as he stops at the gate as the guard rushed to pull the gates apart. "Because I can't tell-."

"Is that important?" Evette asks as she glares at him. "Why are you so eager to make me jealous? What will you get out of it?"

"I know if you like me in the slightest. I can't tell because everytime we kiss, it's like you find it as an opportunity to post about it." Domen says as he drives out of the Southren mansion gates. "You don't show that you like me in the slightest, I can't tell at least but I like you."

"You like me because you were made to believe you do." Evette shrugs her shoulders and sighs as she runs her fingers through her hair, caring less off the mess she's making. "I've been yours since you were twelve or I don't know. You think you do."

"I do."

"Then why is Lavender your first?" Evette asks as she glances at him. "Why is she the woman who can turn you on by just kissing you when we do that from time to time and there's nothing going on in your trousers to prove I have an effect on you."

Domen clenches his jaw as he turns his gaze to the road, pulling into another road as he leads them to their neighborhood.

"Lavender has no effect on me. She's just like every other woman." Domen rolls his eyes as his grip on the steering wheel tightened. "It's just a natural response."

"Stop the car." Evette says as she points at the keys. "Stop it."

Domen raises his brows and before he could ask why, she reaches down to the brake peddle and stops it with her own hand, getting him to gasp in shock and stop it himself, turning along the sides of the road and out of the way.

"What's wrong with you?" Domen asks as he watches Evette fumble with her seatbelt before setting herself free and climbing over him with her thighs on each side of his.

"If it takes any woman to turn you on, then let's prove it." She says as she leans down and presses her lips against his while diving her hand into his trousers to excite him.

Domen, taken aback by this reaches his hand up to her shoulders and pulls her lips from his as he fishes her hand out of his trousers.

"Stop it, we're in public." Domen grits his teeth as Evette furrows her brows down at him.

"Tinted windows." Evette points out before removing his restrictive hands, only to have him hold her back once more. "You just don't want me."

"That's not it. It's just odd doing this out of the blue." Domen says as he clenches his jaw. "Let's get home first."

"It's not just about any woman." Evette sighs as she gets off of him and sits back onto her seat. "If Lavender did the same thing, you'd have taken her. You'd not have seen where you were."

"You know that's a lie you want to believe. I feel nothing for her." Domen rolls his eyes and starts the car again. "She means nothing to me."
