THIRD PERSON'S POV

On hearing, Beth's words, Lucas's breath quickened. He didn't know what to do so he abruptly got up and left the room in a haste.

His actions were in so much haste and were unexpected that even the person listening to their conversation standing just outside the room also couldn't get much time to hide. He had his ear pressed to tye window where the curtains were drawn so that the people inside couldn't see him outside.

It was only when Lucas opened the door suddenly, that the other person quickly turned away in the opposite direction and started to run.

Lucas immediately ran after him.
The man turned left to the corridor and Lucas followed suit.

Who is he? And why the fuck was he outside Scarlett's room? Listening to their conversation?
Lucas couldn't figure this out and the conclusion he could come up with was that, the person behind Scarlett's condition must have sent one of his men.

He ran following the person almost to the entrance of the hospital but he knew he couldn't leave Beth here alone with Scarlett too.

So he immediately rushed outside and saw two of his men along with Xander's men standing guard outside.

Both Xander and Lucas didn't trust the hospital's security.

And that's why they both had their men securing the hospital so if anyone they encounter seems suspicious, they could stop that person from entering.

"Go quickly! Follow that blue shirt man NOW!!!" Lucas shouted at them in a frenzy.

He couldn't exactly decipher who was that person but he knew whoever he is, it's bad.

A thought ran through his mind.
Should he tell Xander?
But he must already be in so much pressure. As much as Lucas hated admitting that, he knew Xander loved her too as much as he did.

And it's not like the Xander Knight himself told him that but because he has seen the Xander Knight of four years back and the Xander Knight of the present. It's like the Xander he knew had completely transformed into this new and....and much better person.

His cold aura turns warm, his frighteningly sharp gaze softens and ruthless attitude becomes compassionate, everything changes when Scarlett is present. and if that isn't enough to tell if a person is in love then Lucas doesn't know what is.

"How can it be true? Please check it again!"
Elray asked the shop assistant to check the customer register once again.

He was confused. He didn't want to believe it was true.

His own mother....? How can she...?
No, no it has to be wrong, something has to be wrong. She can't do this.

Flashback

"Give me that vial, would you?" Mike asked coming forward.

Mike had somehow calmed Xander down by telling him that the antidote Elray had brought might just work and help in waking up Scarlett.
