You: Yeah...I have the best aunt in the world.

You think of her. It's been a week since your uncle's funeral. You're doing this for him, you want to honor his memory by helping the people of New York...as Spider-Man.

Clementine looks at your bag, then back at you.

Clementine: So where's your lunch.

You: Uh...I ate it already.

{Present Day}

It's been a week since the venue bombing. You're still in a coma. Clementine, your aunt, and AJ sit in the room.

AJ really hasn't been patrolling as much as he would. He's so used to having you by his side. Now, he's just filled with worry.

Coincidentally, the television in the upper corner of the room is playing a newscast. The headline reads: "Where is Spider-Man?"

AJ figures there will be a mention of Kid Arachnid as well.

Aunt: So he's decided to disappear?

AJ: What?

Aunt: Spider-Man. He's with us for all these years...and the night of the bombing...he wasn't there to save my nephew.

Clementine listens in as she's fixated on you, still holding your hand. AJ looks over at Clementine, not knowing what to respond with. They are the only two in the room that knows you are Spider-Man.

Your aunt crosses her arms as she sits in the chair.

Aunt: I lost Y/U/N...I...I can't lose Y/N too.

Clementine breathes in, then lets it out. She responds as she still has her eyes on your comatose body.

Clementine: He'll make it through this. He's not an ordinary man.

You aunt looks over at her. She figures her statement was a simple compliment. She is your girlfriend after all.

Aunt: Yeah...I know.

Clementine: No...you don't...

Your aunt raises a brow. AJ sits up and listens in. He knows what she's about to reveal.

Clementine: He hasn't been ordinary for the last seven, almost eight years. What happened to him a week ago should've killed him...but it didn't because he's extraordinary.

Aunt: What are you saying?

Clementine turns to your aunt.

Clementine: Y/N has powers, Y/A/N. He's Spider-Man.

Your aunt looks down, trying to process the information. She thinks of the times you've gotten home late back when you lived with her, the excuses you gave in college of how you were so busy, the moments you abruptly left the F.E.A.S.T shelter when a situation on the news arose.

How did she not figure this out earlier?

She begins to cry, covering her face with her hands. AJ gets up and comforts her by caressing her shoulders.

AJ: I'm sorry you had to find out this way, Y/A/N.

Your aunt wipes her tears away.

Aunt: You knew too?

AJ: I found out a couple months after Doc Ock's arrest. Only because...I spilled a secret of my own.

Your aunt looks up at AJ.

AJ: Your nephew isn't the only spider-ling in the city. He's had me under his wing.

Your aunt heard about Spider-Man having a protégé. She remembers the name because of how funny it sounded.

Aunt: You're...Kid Arachnid.

AJ nods.

Clementine: He got bit by the same Oscorp spider that bit Y/N years ago.

Aunt: Oscorp spider?

Clementine: The demonstration we went to back in high school...that's where it happened.

Your aunt leans back on the chair, flabbergasted. She vividly remembers signing the permission slip allowing you to go to that trip.

Aunt: My God...this is insane.

She then thinks of the various instances throughout the last several years of Spider-Man fighting different villains. Her motherly instincts grimace at the thought of you putting yourself in harm's way.

Now, she just wishes you were the one to tell her all this. She hopes she'll be able to talk to you soon.

S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Aaron Coulson drives down the road. He holds his phone against his ear, speaking with Jesus.

Jesus: He's what?!

Aaron: L/N is in a coma, some bombing in Hell's Kitchen. I'm on my way to the hospital.

Jesus: You know what this means? It's no coincidence that he was attacked right when we were about to speak with him.

Aaron: I know, sir.

Jesus: I'm with Agent Hill right now. Have you heard from Ava?

Aaron: No sir, she seems to have gone off the grid.

Jesus: Damn it, let's hope they didn't get her too.

Jesus thinks for a moment. This was supposed to be a simple meeting with you before the venue bombing. Now that an outside enemy possibly knows your identity too, he can't risk your safety.

Jesus: Aaron, I want you to have an eye on L/N...twenty-four-seven. If whoever did this finds out he's still alive, they might want to finish the job.

Aaron nods, speeding down the road.

Aaron: You can count on me, boss.
