The temperature is going down day by day and I cannot be any happier than I already am. Freezing point means it will snow sooner. I don’t care the coffee is too hot to burn my throat, but still I gulp it down feeling my oesophagus cold like ice melting in warmth. It’s going to be a long day I guess provided the work load I have today. Taehyung’s issue launch is due next month so the work is on peak. We were about to let it get issue last month, but Jungkook came up with the idea of Christmas issue. Jungkook said he don’t want any mistakes since it’s his brother himself and he wants profit like last time. But I guess the amount of popularity Taehyung has is only enough to give us the high profit and the magazine cover has not yet decided.
I huff out looking at the three final layouts in front of me that Donna asked me to choose one among them since she says I have better idea about this, let me make it clear, that’s what she said. Anyway, that’s not the topic to pull out now, I need to select any one layout. I grab the first one; it has a look of summer vibe. Taehyung in blue and white, flowers, white background and handsome looking Tae; it gives out so much of summer feeling and that would be a stupid idea to final this since it’s winter. Keeping this one aside, I grab the other one. He is smiling, how adorable, with street style look and dusky background. No, it is too simple and funky; this must not be in the cards only.
I set this one completely aside and grab the last layout; and let me say it instantly made me grin widely. Tae in black, grey background, and b&w theme; generally I would say this kind of theme is hot and sexy one, but an ear to ear grin stretched on his face making him show his teeth is totally game changing. Aesthetic, that’s what I wanted and his face in this layout is enough to make the whole dark theme an aesthetic one. I admire the way his boxy grin stretches creating his eyes to crinkle by the sides and damn I haven’t seen any of his previous shoot to be this charming. Him standing against the grey background is catching viewer’s attention very precisely and by now I know this is the final layout to be published worldwide.
My thoughts get startled when I receive a notification in my phone. Frowning I secure the layout on my table and glance at the device. Oh, an email from Crystal Company? Feeling curious, I unlock my device and go through the email only to receive the biggest heart attach of the year.
“I got the job?” I ask to myself and reread the mail for four times in a row. My jaw drops and heart feels like jumping out of throat, I start to squeal right on my chair.
“Easy there Y/n.” Kevin comments and I stop squealing. I feel like crying and moreover, I feel happy. I don’t know when the first time I was this was happy; maybe the day when Jungkook confessed me? When I am comparing this situation with Jungkook’s confession, I guess you should know how much happy I am right now. “Is it something good?” He asks and I find him looking at me with a grin.
“I… I need to see Jungkook.” I say and immediately stand up from my seat to leave the room. By now, everyone knows about mine and Jungkook’s relationship. Most of them praise us, but lot of the employees send me hates, not that I care all that matters is the love we have for each other. Kevin just laughs at my reaction and I skip my way towards the giant office that belongs to my boyfriend. We’re in four months of a happy relationship and by now we both have become very much close to each other. Our bond is inseparable and so our love is. I cannot believe we came this far in our relationship and the most amazing thing is Jungkook shows me the same affection that I show him.
As soon as I spot the door of his office, I giggle slightly, but my giggle dies down as the door opens and reveals a woman dressed in black and white. She is beautiful and has a small smile on her face. Who is she? Her eyes land upon me and her smile turns into a grin in order to greet me and out of respect, I flash her small smile. She is beautiful but why her shirt is unbuttoned from the top? Never mind, because she looks friendly. We both cross our way and I immediately knock on the door. Jungkook’s voice from the inside calls for me to enter and I do.
“Baby?” he greets me with an adorable bunny grin while sitting on his chair like a boss he is and a file on his hand.
“Who was she?” My head snaps at the slit created by the door which gives me a small view of that lady standing by the elevator door. As she enters the elevator, the slit of the office door also closes shut making me turn my head back to face Jungkook.
“Elena Mitch, new recruit.” He shrugs his shoulders and I nod my head completely forgetting the reason I am here for. “Well, you’re here for anything; you didn’t inform you’re coming?” He asks and I immediately recall the purpose I am here for. I grin like an idiot and walk towards him.
“Oh, now I need to inform you before coming?” He chuckles hearing my sarcastic tone. “How professional!” I comment and watch him spin on his chair to the side so that he can have a look of me from head to toe.
“You’re right, that’s so professional.” A smirk appears on his lips. Just like always his blazer is draped on the back of his chair while he sits her in his light blue shirt and black tie looking like those devil bosses from crazy office novels with hair assembled neatly. “You know what would be good for you?” he asks and I lean on the mahogany table by my hips while crossing my arms over my chest as he speaks casually in a matter of fact way. “You bend on this table and I will fuck you from behind.” Not to forget this is one of my fantasies that I want him to fulfil for me.
“Oh how boring!” I play along and expectedly, he cocks a brow while eyeing me up and down shamelessly. I smile sweetly to make this even more dramatic and walk closer to him to sit on his lap. “I would rather love to be tied on this table.” I also use the monotone of casual fact.
“Baby,” his one hand snakes around my waist and other one reaches out to tuck the piece of hair behind my ear before speaking softly, “I don’t think so you came here in the middle of work hour when the whole company is in chaos for the release of winter issue just to seduce me or joke around.” I giggle at the end of his sentence.
“You’re right though, but well, I got the job.” I whisper and he grins widely.
“Oh really?” he asks sarcastically making me roll my eyes. As if he never knew.
“Tell me you didn’t give me the job just because I am your girlfriend?” I ask with genuine seriousness. That’s the last thing I want to take advantage of being Jeon Jungkook’s girlfriend.
“If that would’ve been the reason then by now the whole company would’ve been under your name.” He comments and why do I feel offended by this when I should take that as a compliment?
“Oh shut up.” He chuckles slightly before giving me a kiss on my cheek.
“Well, few weeks back I sent an email to few of the higher ups regarding this and asked them to vote if they want either you or Kevin as the Executive Editor of the company, and well, they all voted for you.” I stare at him in disbelief. He did all this behind my back?
“Really?” he nods his head with a bunny grin fluttering my heart almost instantly.
“Yeah, and unfortunately I need to higher Kevin as Donna’s assistant.” That’s good news; I get along with him a lot. “She loves his work.”
“That’s great Jungkook. I cannot believe it, I am so happy right now.” I say in awe while having that big grin on my face that makes me feel like a kid in a toy store.
“I bet you are.” He leans closer and presses a firm kiss on my lips fluttering my heart instantly. “Shall we go have lunch?”
“That’s on me!” I exclaim making the man of my dreams nod his head with a smile. “Not in this boring canteen though which reminds me of a goddamned school cafeteria.”
“Then where?"
“The new restaurant across the road, and I am inviting others too.” I inform while standing up from the seat. The phone on my pocket rings making me almost jump on my feet. Taking my phone out, I get surprised receiving a call from Antony, it’s been so long we last hung out and I don’t know when was the last time I talked to him. “Hello?” I slide the call answer and immediately receive a cheerful voice of his. God, I missed him so much.
“Hey stranger!” he speaks calmly from the other line. I gesture Jungkook to give me a minute and I sit on the guest chair while he does some stuffs.
“How are you Antony?”
“Babe, I’m cool but are you alive?” He asks in a sarcastic tone. Why does everyone has to ask me this question?
“I am.”
“There’s a lot to catch up with you, Amy is practically sulking.” He informs making me giggle. “Yup, so it’s Friday night, same at Brandon’s, what say?”
“That’s cool I guess I’ll be there.”
“I know you will never refuse free drinks.” We both laugh at the comment.
“You know me well boy.”
After ending my call with Antony and informing Jungkook about tonight, we both exit from his office and luckily without even stepping inside the filthy canteen that reminds me of school cafeteria, we spot Donna, Michael and Jimin outside their block only. They all agreed on having lunch outside the company, well how someone can say no to free food.
“I’m glad that I’ll be seeing you more often in the company Y/n.” Donna says with stuffed mouth of tacos.
“Yeah, and honestly, you deserved it.” Michael points out. “That’s good Jungkook never appointed anyone before for this position, we got a great company.” He winks at me and instantly everyone in the circle starts to nod in agreement making me burn in embarrassment.
“You know everything happens for a reason.” Jungkook who is sitting right next to me says.
“Oh Y/n,” Donna calls, “did you finalise the layout?”
“Mhm.” I nod my head.
“Which one?”
“Black and white theme.”
“I saw the vision already.” Jimin interrupts. “That’s gonna be a blast.” He probably must have read my mind. I sometimes wish to have a shield mechanism just like Bella had in Twilight so that Jimin could never read my mind. “Anyway, I was thinking to throw a house party tomorrow.”
“I’m in only if you will be up for Call of Duty.” Jungkook informs making Jimin frown.
“You have already played five sets.”
“Doesn’t matter since I always win.” He shrugs while stuffing his mouth with fries. “I bet Hobi hyung will be dying to play it again and it’s been so long since we had any game nights."
“Fine, are you coming love birds?” he asks Donna and Michael who are probably flirting with each other and being a little extra lovey dovey.
“I’m in.” Michael says and Donna shows her consent with thumbs up.
“Good, we all will be crashing in Jin hyung’s house then.” Jimin shows his adorable eye smile feeling satisfied by his decision. Jungkook just snorts at him and sink in his chair furthermore by hugging my right arm like a baby. I am rich, I have lots of friends.
