Hi, please read the authors note when you've finished the chapter, thank you so much ILY, bye. Now go read this chapter bc it's long👋🏼

T R O Y E

Today was going to be amazing. I had no idea what we were actually going to do, but I had invited Connor to tag along with me, Kerri, and Kayla for the day. It was early morning still, but we wanted to spend as much time together as possible. The latter two had already eaten breakfast and were a tad jet lagged, which made me laugh. It didn't seem to bother them friday night, but right now they were pretty sleepy.

"So!" I clapped in my hands. They looked up in an instant, laughing at my bright grin.

"I told Connor we'd be at his at his at 10, and it's 9:36 now and I have no idea how to exactly walk there, so what about we get going?"

I was really happy. And that was not just due to their surprise trip here. It was not just because we now knew how to get to know who tweeted out lyrics. No, it had mostly to do with the fact that we had finished writing yesterday. We had a total of five new songs now, though we were probably not going to include all on the EP. They were called Gasoline, Fun, Touch, Blue Moon, and, of course, Happy Little Pill. I was over the moon with my songs and couldn't wait to get in the studio to record them. I'd decided to include The Fault in Our Stars on it too; freshly recorded with probably a bit more music in the background. I was really hyped and had the idea that the smile on my face wouldn't leave for a good week at least.

"Yes! I want to meet this Connor." Kayla said excitedly, wiggling her eyebrows at me when mentioning the name Connor. I laughed. Basically, any guy I ever mentioned or talked about was a guy Kayla thought she could set me up with. She was the one that foresaw my relationships and encouraged or discouraged me to continue them. She was the one that was happy when I ended my relationship with Tyler. But enough of that.

Forty minutes later, and we were lost. I knew where we were. Kinda. But I had no idea where Connors house was.

"Well, just call him then" Kerri exclaimed after yet another five minutes of walking around. It was fun, we laughed, but we had told Connor we'd be there soon, and clearly that wasn't working out.

"Okay! I will," I laughed, getting out my phone and clicking on the 'Connah Frantah" contact to call him. I put him on speaker, because we were giddy and Kayla basically threatened me to push me into the snow if they didn't get to talk to Connor right now.

"Hey, Troye! Where are you guys?"

"Hiiiii!" My friends yelled together, which made me laugh again.

"Honestly? I have no idea. Somewhere between your house and the school. I could've sworn I saw your house about ten minutes ago, but I didn't know if it was yours. Just... I don't know. Just go outside and start walking? We'll spot you."

-

About three hours from that, we were having a massive snow fight. Well, I say massive, but really it was just the four of us. It had started with trying to make a snowman, since we'd never made one. Connor seemed to feel personally attacked by this, and it turned out we weren't as good at making snowmen as we thought we were. Oh well.

There was snow everywhere, and if I was completely honest, I almost couldn't feel my fingers or my face, but I was too warm from running around to care. That was, until Connor popped up behind me, shouted "Boo!" into my ear and stuffed snow into my jacket. He then proceeded to tackle me, and somehow I took him with me, tumbling down. He was now basically lying on top of me, and I couldn't help but suck in a sharp breath. He was looked stunning. Even with snow in his hair and flushed cheeks he looked adorable. Maybe especially with snow in his hair and flushed cheeks. My eyes slowly wandered across his face; from his green eyes to his nose to his lips. Time seemed to freeze for a moment there, and it only started ticking again when Kayla interrupted.

"Hey lovebirds! Look here!" And right when we looked, because well, to whom else then us could she be talking, she threw a snowball in our faces, following with loud laughter from her as well as from Kerri. Connor seemed to suddenly notice the position we were lying in, and quickly got up, brushing some snow from his jeans. His face was red, though that was probably just form the cold. I, however, didn't waste any time on tackling Kerri and Kayla into the snow. I swear, I missed those two way too much. Laughter was inevitable, and we spend a solid ten minutes just laughing and failing at throwing snow towards each other. Tears of laughter were on my face, but since I hadn't really moved and was either walking through or lying in snow, I had gotten pretty cold, and was soon shivering.

"You alright, Troye?" Connor asked, to which I shot him a grateful smile.

"Yeah, I just only now realised that it is pretty cold out here." I laughed a bit, and he laughed along.

"We could go back to mine?" He asked. Kayla and Kerri seemed to have caught up on our conversation, as we were now standing in a little circle. "Or we could go for lunch somewhere, heat up a bit and then do... I don't know? Whatever you want I guess."

Surprisingly, I wasn't the first to go along with the offer. Kayla eagerly nodded, saying that hell yes, she's like to eat something and warm up. Preferably in front of a fire with blankets. I laughed at that, though I didn't really think of it differently than her. It was a pretty good idea, and it was how we ended up in a cozy lunchroom where they had a fire in the middle of the room with some couches. Seriously, this place thought of everything.

-

Hours after that, we had all eaten dinner and met up once again. This time in a small children's playground. To watch the stars, Connor had said. He had also told me he and his friends did this a lot, though most times it was just him. We were lucky there were almost no clouds, and upon arriving at the playground I immediately dashed towards one of two swings, not wanting to sit on the cold snow. All three others present bursted out laughing when I went to sit on said swing and started swinging slightly. It took only a couple seconds however, before they started sprinting towards the swing next to me, which caused me to laugh. Kerri successfully managed to conquer the swing, and seemed really content with it. Connor and Kayla however, looked pretty bummed, but the latter shrugged her shoulders and sat down on Kerri's lap, not giving a single fuck about whatever anyone may think.

They started whispering, ever so often shooting either me or Connor a look. I furrowed my brows.

"You know, you can talk out loud" I ever so subtly said to the two of them. Connor was sitting on one of the bars on the side of the swing, looking up to the sky. He seemed to snap out of his daze when Kerri spoke.

"Oh. Well we were saying that Connor could just sit on your lap instead of that freezing bar."

"Oh.. err... I'm fine sitting here, Kayla. Really." Connor stuttered. His cheeks got a bit red, and I couldn't help but stare as he lifted his eyes up to the sky again.

"A-are you sure it isn't too cold? We could switch too, if you want?" I offered, and I could practically hear Kerri squealing behind me. I shot her an annoyed glare, but couldn't help but get red a bit myself.

"Yeah. I'm fine." He cut me off. It sounded quite harsh and I wondered what I did wrong. Had I offended him by asking to switch places? Or was it Kayla and Kerri's comment? Those two, by the way, were whispering again. I rolled my eyes and tiptoed towards Connor with the swing, hoping it wouldn't backfire and start swinging sideways. Which was highly likely, but I would prefer for that not to happen. The green eyed boy didn't seem to notice me at all, which made me smile. He looked cute while watching the stars. He seemed vulnerable and innocent.

"Hey, Con. Do you know any constellations? I mean, it's pretty and all, but... you know." I trailed of, and the boy next to me turned and smiled.

"Yeah. I can show you some, but I don't think now's a great moment to do so, as one of your friends seems to want pull you back," he laughed as I turned to look around. My eyes went wide as I saw that he was right, and I laughed of shock as soon as I felt my swing going sideways, hitting the one Kayla and Kerri were sitting on, causing them to yelp and almost fall off.

-

"So, Tok. You and Connor?" Kayla wiggled her eyebrows suggestively and stared at me. Not wanting to answer her question, I decided to just throw a pillow at her. The only problem there was that I was anything but athletic and didn't really have the strength nor accuracy to actually hit her, so the pillow landed somewhere between us. Oops?

The two Australian girls bursted out laughing at my failed attempt. And probably also at the fact my cheeks were a bright red.

"No but really Tokkie, do you like him?"

I covered my head in the coach, not wanting to see them get me as red as a tomato. Yes. I liked him. Or at the very least, I was crushing on him. But I'd only known him for two weeks. And that was too less to start dating someone, right?

"No!" I yelled out. Because well, for one, Connor was straight. Or at least, so I assumed. He didn't spike my 'gaydar', and there were always a couple of clingy girls around him. And second, it wasn't like I would admit it. I mean, they were my best friends. They kinda deserved to know. But still. Tyler and I had just broken about about eight weeks ago. Surely it would be fast to even think of a relationship now?

It was silent for a little while, and in that silence the two girls laying on the coach opposite to me seemed to come to the conclusion that I was lying. Something I could've already told them. But you know, you don't tell them you're lying.

"You know, Tok, you guys would make a cute couple. An-" I opened my mouth to complain, but Kerri kept on talking, "d, you can't tell us you don't like him. It's pretty obvious. And besides, we think he likes you too." They were grinning, but I couldn't smile with them. My heart dropped when I heard that. Partly because of hope, partly because she just said it like it was true, partly because surely they couldn't be telling the truth, I mean, Connor wasn't gay. I thought. But mostly my heart dropped because of the shock and the normality wih which they announced it. They just sounded so sure. Would he actually? I was just Troye. But one thing I did know for sure, was that for the rest of the night I couldn't fall asleep because my mind was thinking about that cute boy with the most beautiful eyes I'd ever seen.

Hi. Sorry for taking so long. This chapter was really hard to write, but I don't really know why. Oh well. But, I have an honest question for you guys, like, and advice question.
