The children were entertaining to interact with, telling stories of the vast world that had always made him delighted that those listening were intrigued.
Ryuu always wanted to have a younger sibling but his mother unfortunately was unable to have any more children after he was born. He planned on changing it and let his parents be happy.
"Now I'm still a student learning from school but I am also a traveler. Hinokami Kagura is one of the things I want to learn." Ryuu said.
"Onii-san what is it like to be in School?"
He glanced at Hanako adorably, recalling that most of them hadn't been introduced to proper education. Ryuu thought of an idea to teach them since he had memories of numerous books thanks to his [ Eidetic Memory ].
It was unfortunate that he couldn't bring them to his homeworld without some weeb recognizing them. He pondered if it was possible to at least bring them to Rias's world for some formal education since Kimetsu no Yaiba doesn't exist there.
Though, that would be far in the future when he is able to travel and finish the mission. How he was able to know this was because of his intuition that was more like a Foresight than simple Intuition.
"It's a fun place where you are able to learn things and teach you many kinds of things like drawings, the world and many more."
Ryuu knew it was bullshit since School was only fun at the early stage but eventually it would be frustrating and annoying. However, he couldn't bring himself to tell the truth when their eyes filled with wonder and curiosity.
"Really!? I wish I could go there and learn new things!" Hanako said
"Maybe you will one day or I can teach you some few things if you want?" Ryuu said.
"No way!? You would do that, Onii-san!?" She became excited upon hearing this.
"Hanako…"
Nezuko tried to calm her sister who was up close to Ryuu only chuckled while looking at her looking down in shame and embarrassment.
"Sorry, Ryuu-Nii if Hanako bothers you too much." Tanjiro said.
"It's fine, no need to be embarrassed and I'm sure since you have invited me to your home might as well repay it." Ryuu said to him.
"Ryuu-nii, is there a reason why you are searching for our Hinokami Kagura?"
Tanjiro asked curiously, trying his best to be as respectful as possible. Ryuu didn't have any reason to lie anyway since the canon was already changed.
"I heard from an old journey about a certain swordsmanship called Sun Breathing that had been used to slay bad people. This swordsmanship hadn't been passed to anyone until I found some hidden information."
They were all curious hearing the story even though Kie, who had almost finished cooking, stopped to listen to the story about her husband's family history.
"First of all, Can you tell me a bit of Hinokami Kagura?" Ryuu asked him.
"From what my father taught me, it's a dance that is performed throughout the night without any rest."
"Yeah, father had a frail body but was still able to do that."
Tanjiro explained while Takeo added remembering how their father was able to dance nonstop for a whole night without race despite his frail body.
Though, the children are downcast and saddened, recalling that their father passed away. Ryuu felt guilty for making them sad.
"I'm sorry."
"Why are you apologizing, Ryuu-Nii?" Tanjiro was confused by his words.
"Well, I might have mentioned something bad, that's why I'm apologizing." Ryuu explained.
"No no it's fine."
Nezuko reassures, giving a sweet smile while Ryuu only sighed.
"Is that so? Then I'll continue my story….The Hinokami Kagura is actually the swordsmanship of the Sun Breathing technique. Your ancestor had been close to a man named Yoriichi Tsugikune." Ryuu told them.
"Is that true??" Tanjiro surprised by this.
"Yes, it's swordsmanship that trains your breathing to become stronger which is why your father is able to perform Hinokami Kagura overnight without rest."
Ryuu explains and even more possible why he had five children despite his frail body. His stamina was out of this world if he could last overnight dancing then doing it nonstop at night wasn't far off.
He inwardly shook the thought as it was disrespecting the dead but still every man would want that skill.
"That's why Father mentioned that it was all about the breathing."
Tanjiro exclaimed at the revelation that their family had hidden an important thing. Though, he didn't feel any special and just had surprises.
"Alright enough of that, Dinner is ready."
Ryuu just nodded his head, and afterwards saw their meal at the table, it was a Chicken soup, and it was enough for 7 people to eat, with one bowl each. I looked at the chicken soup, and Kie, who noticed it and said.
"I'm sorry...this is all we have…"
He looked at her and shook his head, finding her personality too kind and caring that it made him feel bad.
‘This woman is too kind...and she even said sorry even though I'm the one who shouldn't be picky…'
There was a time where his family was forced to eat only canned food and even junk food as our meal for several months. It was a pitiful state they were and this made him join a street fight where they set bets.
It didn't end well for him, always being beaten and once his parents found out scolded him while trying that they weren't able to provide anything. Ryuu clenched his fist for the painful memory it was.
'I guess I'll cook.'
Ryuu asked Kie where is the kitchen and
She quietly pointed at the directions where it was before apologizing once again.
"I'm sorry…."
He only looked at her with a warm gaze seeing an apologetic smile feeling a bit embarrassed that she was unable to provide for their guest. Kie is surprised upon seeing his calming glance that it reminds her so much of her husband.
"Don't worry, I'm quite skillful at cooking."
With a gentle voice which made Ryuu reassured them and thought into his mind while looking at Kie.
'This woman is just too nice, I can't bring myself to hate her at all, in fact she already left a favorable impression on me. '
Ryuu hates his urges and temptation when it comes to women that leave an impression on him. He felt like he'd gone down the path where fanfic tends to make the harem like Pokemon.
Though, if his life is a fanfic at least those gods won't see his everyday life like some sort of stalker. Regardless, She reminded him of another woman in his childhood. Kie felt allured by the strange young man before shaking her head at the thought.
'His going to cook for us? But he's our guest and we don't have many ingredients!?'
Kie thought while feeling ashamed that their guest was going to cook for them and tried to stop him but he insisted on making her stay and ponder what she's going to cook for them.
Ryuu soon finds himself in a simple kitchen where it reminds him of indigenous peoples' stoves. He first looked at what they had, which were vegetables and some chestnuts.
'There isn't much….I guess I'll just get some in my inventory.'
He took out some fresh meat and began cooking, since he has an innate skill in cooking it was relatively easy for him to make food from any ingredients.
Ryuu felt nostalgic from the smoke since it's been nearly 3 years since he had used the electric stove from his dimensional room. Speaking of that time, Ryuu hadn't been doing it yet as they were busy in training but did some intimate action.
'I did hear they had a surprise once I'm done with Muzan.'
He grinned and remembered his lover who had grown up each moment. Ryuu hopes that those gods won't see every detail of his life. They would be surprised how much drama and chaos those 3 years were adjusting to which one to spend time with.
Ryuu calls bullshit about equal love since he was biased when it comes to his lover preferring Shinobu among them which they know.
Regardless, they were happy about everything and used some way like drawing lots who came first and last. Kanae majority manage them the two since she's the oldest and mature.
Ryuu shook thought smiling as the aroma of the food spread through the air and the children took a whip of the smell, especially Tanjiro who is really sensitive in the nose and commented.
"It smells delicious! I wonder what Onii-san is making?! "
His curiosity went into its peak, and as the time passed. Ryuu finally finished the food he had cooked, and finally it was served on the table and they sniffed the aroma that made them drool.
