How did you discover Wattpad?

//A couple years ago, Wattpad popped up as a recommendation for me to download. For a few years I was a silent reader and I didn't even realise Wattpad was a website as well as an app. I only made an account about a year ago, but I've been addicted ever since.

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

//Just under a year now - and I literally log in at least once a day. Haha, it's sad how big my addiction for this website is...

Is there a meaning behind your username?

//Not really. I'm pretty sure I just thought of it while watching an episode of 'Misfits', whoops.

Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?

//Oh, man.. In Year 6 I think? So, when I was about ten. I remember the first book I wrote was about a school similar to St Trinian’s... It was awful but I was super proud, ha!

Who are you favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favourite genre?

//To be honest, now that I'm older, I don't read much. I focus my attention on writing a lot more which isn't great. I can't think of a favourite author and if I had to pick a favourite book (at the moment) it'd be The Hunger Games. My favourite genre is easily comedy, though.

Do you want a career in writing?

//I've never really considered it but it's definitely something I'd try!

Who supports you the most in your writing?

//People on Wattpad... ha. Other than a handful of friends, no one really knows that I write, it's sort of my little secret. (Hence the pen name) (;

What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (2/3 lines)?

//It is called Hot Mess and is a Teen Fiction, slice-of-life, book.

It's about four best friends, who are bored out of their mind, travelling together on a low budget roadtrip for their gap year. They're not particularly the most well-behaved teenagers but that's not saying they're bad people.

What inspired you to write it?

//Skins, to be honest. And the music video for Robbers by the band The 1975. Ha!

How often do you update? When was it last updated?

//I only just started writing it 2 weeks ago, maybe? It was last updated last week.

How long are your chapters? Do you think short or long chapters are better?

//My chapters are 2 pages each, so far. I, personally, HATE long chapters. Unless I love the book, once a chapter has four or more pages, it begins to feel like a chore for me to read it.

Are you proud of how well your book has done? Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?

//I'm proud of the feedback I got from it, but many of them were critiques, ha. I'm not obsessed with reads, though. I don't mind being 'undiscovered'. Although getting on the What's Hot list certainly wouldn't be a bad thing *wink*

Do you have any advice for new authors?

//Write whatever the hell you want - it's your work, not anyone else’s.

This author's book 'Hot Mess' was great. I enjoyed how realistic it was and it was just a really good read. I recommend it as something to read whenever.
