How did you discover Wattpad?

I love reading and almost always have a book with me. So this one day am all out of books to read. I fret to one of my friends about it and she tells me go checkout this app called Wattpad.

So here I am!

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

I've had wattpad for almost three years now, but my current account is just shy of a year(had problems with my phone). I use wattpad almost on a daily basis.

Is there a meaning behind your username?

Ummm well my username..ok unparallel basically means something that is unique, exceptional or rare. so put it together it means living a unique life.

Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?

i started writing seriously about a year ago. I've always had my own journal since i was about 11. So i'd say i discovered my love for writing then but didnt realise or act on it until recently.

Who are you favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favourite genre?

J.K Rowling will awlays top my list. Nicholas Sparks, Paulo Coelho, suzanne collins, John Green are to state a few.

HarryPotter series, The Alchemist, Hunger Games series. I could go on and on. What can I say I love reading!

I've honestly loved reading all the books in my wattpad library. If I had to pickmy favourite it would be Thirty Eight Days and Thirty Eight Reason. No other story has had me begging and wanting so much for an update. I LOVE the series!

Do you want a career in writing?

Yes I would love to have a career in writing. I still have a lot to learn, but it would be something I would thouroughly enjoy doing.

Who supports you the most in your writing?

I would have to say my sister. She is always the first to read and give me honest opinions about what I write.

Choose one of your books:

What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (2/3 lines)?

My Silver Lining. Teen Fiction. It's about a story of self discovery and learning to believe in yourself again after life throws you down.

What inspired you to write it?

Firstly, seeing all these talented writers out there writing such amazing stories. Secondly because of my experiences in life.

How often do you update? When was it last updated?

I try my best to update on a weekly basis. But University tends to get crazy most days.

It was last updated on March 1.

How long are your chapters? Do you think short or long chapters are better?

My longest chapter till date is 3433 words.

The lenght of the chapter doesn't really matter. It's what the chapeter hold that makes a person read it. So a short chapter or long chapter with something meaningful will definetly not bore the reader. It's when the chapter has too much unwanted gibberish that it seems too long.

Are you proud of how well your book has done? Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?

Yes, i am. Honestly when i published the first two chapters of the book I wasn't really expecting much reads. The first two days I had about 100 reads and to me that is an accomplishent am proud of.

My story currently has almost 400 reads, which again is awesome. ButI would like to cross the 1k mark too.
Do you have any advice for new authors?

Bieng new to this myself all I would say is, write what you want to. Don't overthink or over analyse. Just write. And most importantly write for you. You'll be surprised by how much you can do.

This author's book, My Silver Lining, is very good. With the exception of a couple of very minor things, it is very well written and the storyline is fairly good. I think it is a must read for people who like the realistic life books! Check it out!
