How did you discover Wattpad?

I discovered Wattpad through a friend. She had just begun to write and I also enjoyed writing, so she introduced me to Wattpad.

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

Well, I made an account a year ago, and used it everyday for a few months; but then a deleted that account. My current account was made a week and a half ago and I'm on Wattpad everyday. I'm probably on it around 4 hours a day.

Is there a meaning behind your username?

Yes. Camus Comprix is a character from my favorite book series: Unwind. He is tied with Hayden Upchurch as my favorite character and he is made up of 99 different teenagers' parts.

Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?

I started writing a lot of "First Chapters" to story ideas in fifth grade, but never finished them, I still have a desk drawer full of them though. Then I tried poetry in middle school, but it didn't really suit me so I'd just make more story ideas and first chapters. Last year., during sophomore year, I wrote my first "story" but got busy. Now I'm finally at a point where I've planned my story out, I've set aside time for it, and I have the motivation so this will be my first Complete Full Story.

Who are you favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favourite genre?

My favorite authors are Neal Shusterman, John. Green, and Cassandra Clare. My all time favorite book is Perks of Being a Wallflower. It's so entertaining and has such good messages. My favorite genres are dystopian and Young Adult.

Do you want a career in writing?

I want a hobby in it, and would love a career. But I'm not pursuing it as my sole career.

Who supports you the most in your writing?

My best friend Natalie supports me the most in my writing. She reads everything I write and always gives me feedback and helps when I need it.

Choose one of your books:

What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (2/3 lines)?

My book Absolute is about a teenager named Kai who can manipulate time (as in time travel). It is teen fiction and and follows him learning kore about himself, his ability, and his friends.

What inspired you to write it?

I love writing teen fiction fantasy, and the thought was sitting in my head for a while until I got the motivation to write to.

How often do you update? When was it last updated?

I update every Wednesday and Friday. It was last updated. Friday, February 27.

How long are your chapters? Do you think short or long chapters are better?

My chapters are typically around 8,000 words, or 3 pages on Wattpad. I think it depends on the story, medium-sized chapters are pretty great though.

Are you proud of how well your book has done? Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?

I am proud of myself and enjoy my story. This weekend I was #316 in Teen Fiction, and given that I only started posting it a little bit over a week ago, I'm proud.

Do you have any advice for new authors?

For new authors, my advice is to write what you want. It doesn't matter if it is mainstream, action, or how many people enjoy reading it. If you have a story idea, just start writing it.

This author's book is good and well written but I just didn't find it very exciting. I hope that as they continue it that the plot will develop because it has loads of potential. However, I do think this book will be going places, as the characters are really good. Check it out!
