How did you discover Wattpad?

I discovered Wattpad through a friend's suggestion.

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

I've had this account for over a year. I log in every day and spend most of my online time on it, updating and prowling the forums.

Is there a meaning behind your username?

'Myrror' is derived from my username, Kagami ('mirror' in Japanese) on my now-defunct blog).

Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?

I started off writing simple sentences in a little notebook I always carried around with me when I was only seven. Then I progressed to writing short stories about my pets year after year, wrote my first full-length high fantasy 'novel' when I was about eleven and everything just skyrocketed from there.

Who are you favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favourite genre?

I don't have any particular favourites, but I like works written by Tolkien, J.K Rowling, Christopher Paolini, Anne Rice and Jacqueline Wilson. There are also way too many great books I've read, so I can't really single out any of them as favourites. I love to read and write fantasy and crime thrillers.

Do you want a career in writing?

It'll be nice to be an actual writer, but, no. A writing career would not be beneficial in the long run, so I'm just doing it as a hobby.

Who supports you the most in your writing?

My readers do, and myself.

Choose one of your books:

What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (2/3 lines)?

The Undertaker's Apprentice is a dark fantasy combined with elements of mystery. It's about a girl called Lysbeth Bonnes who, after becoming the apprentice of Skinner Malone the undertaker, unwittingly gets sucked into a whirlwind of shadowy secrets involving a series of kidnappings and a mysterious circus.

What inspired you to write it?

It was inspired by a fleeting memory of my childhood dream to work as an undertaker.

How often do you update? When was it last updated?

The Undertaker's Apprentice is a completed story.

How long are your chapters? Do you think short or long chapters are better?

My chapters are usually 2-4 or even 5-7 pages long. I don't mind either short or long chapters as long as they tell enough to keep me interested.

Are you proud of how well your book has done? Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?

Quite. The Undertaker's Apprentice was more of an experiment for me than anything else, and to see the response to it is a happy experience for me. More reads and feedback would be nice, of course, but we can't force readers and I'm content to see this story be well-received as it is.

Do you have any advice for new authors?

Write what you want. Write about what you know, and what you don't. Experiment, strike out, step away from your comfort zone and most importantly - write for yourself. When you write from the heart, it shows in your stories.

I am usually one who reads mass amounts of fanfiction, and not much normal fiction - let alone ones about undertakers, but I really enjoyed this book. Her style of writing is great, and really different to most of the things I've read. The story is not cliche and I really recommend it to anyone who wants to read something a little bit... different.
