How did you discover Wattpad?

One of my best friends, @nanaAanna, said to me, about a year and a half ago, that I should check out this really cool app because it had all of these really amazing stories on it. I said "Fine," and downloaded it. I started reading a couple of books, and little did I know that that would be the beginning of one of my biggest obsessions.

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

So, as I said, I've had it for over a year and a half, and this is the second account I have, and the one I use more frequently. I've had this one since the start of 2014, and I read on Wattpad every night and every morning. So every day.

Is there a meaning behind your username?

Yes, actually. _emodreamer13. 'emo' - when I did ballet a few years ago, we were naming costumes for competitions, and there happened to be four girls out of five in the class who's names started with E, and one of those who also happened to have the initials EM. The second letter of our first names were the same as well, but the second letter of her last name was C, whereas mine was O. So she was EMC, and I was EMO - hence 'emo'. 'dreamer' - I love daydreaming and thinking, and I have a lot of dreams I'd love to achieve, but I ironically hate dreaming in my sleep. '13' - four reasons. One, because it's an unlucky number (Friday the 13th) and I think that's cool. Two, it's underappreciated. Three, because it's Taylor Swift's lucky number. Four, because it's both my favourite and lucky number. And the underscore at the front is just because my usual username (emodreamer13) was taken for some odd reason :P It's strange because no one else has that name on any social media site except me, but oh well.

Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?

Ever since I was four years old I've loved writing. I was writing plays for my friends at age four. I wrote a 'heartbreaking' (or so I've been told) at age ten. I had another poem published at age eleven. I wrote my first proper short story (like 10000 words) at age twelve. I wrote another short story that won competitions at age thirteen. And for the past year, I've been writing my novel. What can I say - writing and words and ink are in my blood. It's just always been a part of me, and I've always loved it. I guess I started because I just had so many ideas, and getting them out on paper was always so satisfying. It was like me pouring out a little bit of my soul into the world, and I can't imagine not doing that anymore.

Who are your favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favourite genre?

This is far too hard. Okay, in real life, my favourite authors are Cassandra Clare, Heather Brewer, John Green, Becca Fitzpatrik, Veronica Roth, Suzanne Collins, James Patterson and Stephanie Meyer. And in real life my favourite books are The Fault in our Stars, The Host, the Twilight Saga, The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, the Hush Hush series, Divergent... anything written by those authors mentioned above, I guess. And as for Wattpad, favourite authors are @Mokita, @rotXinXpieces, @Tiggysaurus, @heartofessence, @YaoiLuvr4Lyfe and pretty much any popular author. There are too many books that I love, so I can't list them all. Um and my favourite genre - anything to do with the supernatural/paranormal (vampires, werewolves, fae, gods etc etc), drama and romance (whether it's straight, bxb, gxg, I don't mind).

Do you want a career in writing?

At this point in time, I'm really not sure; I'd love to do it for a living, but I just feel as though I would be better at other jobs. I'll always keep writing, and it's my goal to publish a book, but I wouldn't be content to be just an author or journalist - I'm thinking more along the lines of a graphic designer, architect, engineer or possibly a surgeon. Who knows!
