How did you discover Wattpad?

I was writing on Facebook on my own page and someone had told me to come here, and so I did.

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

I've been on Wattpad for more than two years and I use it well... quite frequently. I'm usually on almost every day for either most or half of the day.

Is there a meaning behind your username?

No, not really. It's just my first name, my age, and I have no clue what the "b" stands for. I used it when I created my email account when I was 12 and I used it for the first letter of my crush in middle school (Blake) but now, he's a complete jerk and I don't like him. But it could stand for "beautiful," I guess.

Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?

I began writing because I loved the idea of creating a world and making my own characters and situations and the idea just kind of got stuck. I discovered this when I was 12 years old.

Who are you favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favourite genre?

My favorite authors off of Wattpad would be Veronica Roth (Divergent), Suzanne Collins (Hunger Games). On here.. well uh.. I have a huge list. As & Am and Where We Left Off by Monst3rs, The House of Lattimore by Davrielle, The Future Isn't Bright by NemoNemo, Riley's Tale on the Opposite Gender by Cappuccinos, Poison Paradise by DestinyGeo, Stupid Love by leighleigh17, Errand Runners by Next_JK_Rowling - and some other books I just got into: Across Acheron by Sepherene, Giselle by pepsi_pan

Do you want a career in writing?

Yes, of course. :)

Who supports you the most in your writing?

Readers, mostly.

Choose one of your books:

What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (2/3 lines)?

The book I pick is called A Nightmare's Fate. It's a drama, non-teen fiction, and romance. It's about a woman who lost her fiance in war and through her journey of depression, finds someone who helps her recover.

What inspired you to write it?

I have way too many inspirational backgrounds for it, but the main one was Carrie Underwood's song and music video of Just a Dream.

How often do you update? When was it last updated?

With all of my books; I basically update every week to two, maybe three weeks - depending on how busy or lazy I was. But A Nightmare's Fate is completed and it was last updated a few days ago when I posted the first revision.

How long are your chapters? Do you think short or long chapters are better?

My chapters usually range between 3-7 pages, although some chapters will be longer than 7 (the most is 9) pages. I think it depends. I don't generally like short chapters (I'm meaning anything below 3 pages) because most authors on here are inexperienced and more than 50% of books I come across with short chapters do not add important information and skip through a lot and are just horrible. I will admit, some - I mean, some and it's very rare - that I find a book with two paged chapters are well written. And the thing is, it's the same with longer chapters as well because I've come across books with major info dumps and just unnecessary details like describing a picture or a toilet. That's why I say that the average size chapter should be between 3-7 pages which is roughly between 2000-5000 words. But really, chapter length is not important. Think: quality instead of quantity.

Are you proud of how well your book has done? Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?

Yes, I am very happy indeed (to both questions).

Do you have any advice for new authors?

I have a lot of advice, but the advice I will put on here would be: if you want to improve your work and don't know how, here is a helpful tip:

Get critics to help you see your mistakes and keep an open mind. If someone comes around and tells you something that you don't agree with (for example, the way the book started), take the critique in consideration. I'm not telling you to do everything everyone provides you, because honestly, you cannot please everyone - while someone may say to add more detail, another person will say you need less detail and another will say that your details are fine - go with your gut or what you think is best. But take all that someone says into consideration for later because your future self might not like what your past self liked. You change when you get older with your views and your improvements. And also read your writing as if you are a reader, not the writer; you have to be fully honest with yourself and don't give yourself too many sugarcoats. If you end up telling yourself your work is amazing, you won't get anywhere because chances are, your writing is crap. And if you end up telling yourself that your work is terrible, you won't get anywhere also because you're not giving your writing a try and you're too harsh on yourself, and chances are, your writing isn't half bad. Most authors I come across that don't like what they write are good writers, but they are also perfectionists and to be honest, that is bad (in my opinion) for the writing community. If you're a perfectionist and don't like your writing most of the time, you will never finish a book. And if you keep thinking you're an amazing author, you will never improve because all those "harsh" critics that you got kept telling you the worst and you thought they were just jealous. But if anyone is needed of any advice, you can come to me and/or take a look at my advice book called For the Newbies. I go over a lot of subjects/topics from characters and ideas to getting noticed

Reading her books made me think about life in a way that was probably too deep for the time I was writing this. Her books are lovely, and really well written. The storylines are beautiful and if you are a new reader, then you should definitely check her out, not only does she have loads of great books but she has written a book helping new reader! I love her style and really recommend you all check her out!
