How did you discover Wattpad?

When I first heard about Wattpad, that fanfiction After was touching the skies. So I decided to check what the website was all about. It made me land here.

How long have you had Wattpad, and how often do you use it?

I have had Wattpad for around 4 months and yea I almost use it daily except when my exams are going on.

Is there a meaning behind your username?

Well starting with that, I am a directioner and really like 1D. Library is a place where I love to stay. Many friends of mine say that I was actually born in a library. So yea, it’s a blend of the two things I love. Oh and it’s a really unique question by the way

Why did you start writing? What age did you discover your love for it?

Looking back in time, I wrote my first short story around the age of eight. Followed by it were some scripts of plays that came up as school projects and stuff. Gradually writing became a thing I did but never actually acknowledged doing, it was kinda weird back then. But now it has altered as being my favorite all time hobby and escape, to be added.

I discovered my love for it recently, around January this year.

Who are you favourite authors? What are your favourite books? (Books on Wattpad count too!) What is your favourite genre?

Well that’s a difficult question in row, but surely I am a huge fan of John Green and Nicholas Sparks’ works. Counting of the books, I’d say it’s Wuthering Heights among the classics and otherwise, The Fault In Our Stars, The Notebook and Divergent Series. On Wattpad, my favorite book at the moment is Grey by OneDlove95. My favorite genre is Fanfiction and Teen Fiction.

Do you want a career in writing?

Nah, I am a pro medical aspirant and an amateur writer. Ten years from now, I see myself as a doctor who returns late from her hospital and then types the drafts of her stories till two in the morning.

Who supports you the most in your writing?

The kind of satisfaction I get and music mainly. Other than that is the feeling of creating my own world and imagination.

Choose one of your books:

What is your book called? What genre is it? What is it about (2/3 lines)?

My book is called Infinity and lies in the fan fiction genre. It is a Harry Styles AU. It is a story about how two best friends who were too blind to see the real emotions inside them, fall apart and fall back to one another every time. It also states how some misunderstandings, sacrifices and unknown revenges, lead to the most beautiful yet most hurting events in one’s life and how we humans only tend to see what is shown to us, not what’s behind the scene.

What inspired you to write it?

This story has a very deep essence and wasn’t a 1D fan fiction before. It was just another teen fiction book, until I actually began portraying my characters as Harry Styles and Alia Bhatt (The main leads). People always say a story being cliché. But I took the challenge to recreate this best friend’s, cliché theme and give it another essence. So here is my attempt.

How often do you update? When was it last updated?

I try my best to do it once in two days, because of school and my habit of writing almost 3000 words per chapter. It was last updated six hours ago.

How long are your chapters? Do you think short or long chapters are better?

My chapter vary somewhere from 2500 words to 4000 words, depending on my mood and the necessity. I think an average chapter should hold around 3000 words, because it helps you to detail your work and at the same time doesn’t bore your reader. Too long chapters may also lead to cynical boredom.

Are you proud of how well your book has done? Are you happy with the amount of reads it has?

I am quite proud and happy of the reads Infinity holds, but being the nosy and unsatisfied person I am , I crave for more people to read it.

Do you have any advice for new authors?

I have to admit, I have one of the weirdest imaginations in the world. I mean if someone peeks in my mind, I swear I wouldn’t ever be able to face them again. So please if you have the mind reading power, don’t peek in my head. Okay, coming back to reality, I’d say it’s not only me, it’s each one of us. I know what I write might not feel appealing to others, but it’s appealing to me, right? Then why to rethink or change it. It’s my novel, my world, you like it or not it doesn’t matter. I should like it.

I’d also like to quote a little phrase from my novel here.

❝Gradually we all become so fake that we can’t even recognize who we see in the mirror every morning. But I know every Elitian’s ambition in life is to be truthful to their own selves. Because we believe that it’s not about how many people know you, it’s about whether you know yourself or not. ❞

~Sharon Malik (Infinity)

I absolutely love her book Infinity and I recommend it to everyone, as it's an AU and is just amazing!
