23 | Fish

Brina's POV

We are now back on our Hotel Room and I am so glad I made it here alive. I mean the glares of those fans would definitely kill me if only looks can kill. Would not blame them though, I mean I just mocked their idol in front of them.

Tomorrow would be the day we would fly back to our city so I plan to sleep early tonight. I actually just finished taking a bathe and ready to sleep not until someone knocked on my room.

I opened it and saw Lorcan smiling so widely that it looks so creepy now. I raised my right eyebrow, indicating why is he knocking at the door.

"Our stay would be longer. We will leave two days after." He answered me still smiling widely. It is actually starting to creep me out, why is he so happy about anyway?

"And why is that?" I asked him in which he answered and made me confused, "We will catch a big fish tomorrow."

What? Before I can even asked him, he already left. Ugh, I stopped thinking about that 'fish' and get ready to sleep. I'll know who that fish is eventually.

We are having our breakfast here at the hotel's cafeteria and I noticed that only the main players are here, where are the others?

"If you are looking for the others, they left this morning" Caiden said when he noticed me looking around. I raised my voice a little bit before speaking with sarcasm, "You let them? Why are we even here anyway?"

"Told you today we'll gonna catch a big big big fish!" Lorcan surprised me by how loud his voice was! Some people near us even turned their heads towards us.

"We?" L asked although it was spoken in timidly voice, we can still hear it as we are just near her. Thank her for asking what I wanna ask too.

"We'll need your help" This time, it was Cadmus who spoke with this usual cold voice. I raised my right eyebrow upon hearing his answer so I asked, "Why would you need us?"

"You both will cover us up" Caiden answered my question and before I can talk back, Lorcan immediately spoke, "Don't worry it's nothing serious! You both just need to be with us so other people would not be suspicious"

Now, hearing what Lorcan said just made me suspicious. Are they gonna do an illegal action and what they mean by fish is actually a big syndicate?!

"Nope! We are definitely not doing any illegal things!" Lorcan shouted when he noticed my confused expression.

I sighed defeated, I mean what else can we do now? I will just ride whatever they are playing since I am a little bit curious about who that fish is.

We are here at the mall, food court to be specific. We are not eating, we are just seating here. Lorcan is so focused on his laptop while Caiden and Cadmus are on their cellphone. Me and L? Nothing. We are just staring at nothing.

I am getting bored by the minute until I can't stand it anymore so I finally asked, "So what now? I am bored."

Caiden glanced at me before putting his index finger in his lips gesturing for me to be quiet. I just rolled my eyes, I mean Lorcan did not even twitch upon hearing my voice, he is that focused on whatever he is doing.

"Fine!" I said and stand up ready to leave them but before I can turn around, Cadmus said, "Here" and right away threw something towards me so I out of instinct, I catches it and when I looked at it, I saw a lollipop.

Am I a dog or what? He would suddenly throw me a snack then I would stay? Oh well, it is a mistake he threw the lollipop first and so I can continue leaving them with a lollipop on my hand. I smirked because of that.

But it only took me a step forward before I stopped again upon hearing Lorcan's shout, "FOUND IT!"

I looked at them again and saw both Cadmus and Caiden looking at Lorcan's laptop screen with seriousness on their face. Lorcan then continue speaking but this time with calm voice but his lips are forming in a smirk, "He is here, at the department store specifically"

Wait who is here? The fish?

"What are we waiting for then?" Caiden asked and soon followed by Cadmus, "Let's go before that fish escapes."

And so, we are now currently running towards the department store trying to catch that fish, I don't have any single idea who that is.

"Who are we catching?" I asked in kind of shouting since we are still running, Lorcan who are besides me answered, "Told you a big fish! Watch out for a person wearing all black! Much better if it is in hoodie"

That's it? That's the only description he can give? I mean a lot of people wear an all black hoodie?!

When we arrived at the department store, we immediately looked for a seat then Lorcan instantly opened his laptop but this time, I can glanced at what he was doing.

I saw a CCTV footage on his screen and my eyes grew big when I saw the time and date of the footage. It was real time! I looked at the top right corner of this store and I saw the CCTV with a small red light – which mean someone hacked it.

Wait, don't tell me it was really a syndicate we are after? I mean why would they hacked a mall's CCTV if they are just catching a normal citizen?

"Cashier 20!" Lorcan shouted and we instantly dash off towards that counter. I mean, me and L are just getting dragged to this because of how they are in panic while trying to catch whoever is that.

When we arrived at the said counter, someone walking away are wearing a black hoodie, so we right away run towards that person and Caiden put his hand on the person's shoulder and abruptly turn towards us.

We saw a boy looking as shocked as we are! I mean he did not looked like a member of syndicate, so why are we catching him?

"Fck! We lost him!" Lorcan screamed after a few second while grabbing his hair out of frustration. Caiden then glanced once again to the person he just grabbed before saying sorry and letting him go.

So now we just stood at the middle of this department store, staring at nothing. I mean, I am just waiting for them to explain what the hell is going on.

"We lost him?" Cadmus spoke in a cold voice in which Lorcan answered with, "Yes."

I can't stand this confusion anymore so I asked them hoping they would definitely gave a specific answer, "Who are we catching anyway?"

"Z" Cadmus is the one who answered me and I can't help but to be shocked!

Z is the fish they are talking about?

Z is me.

So I am a freaking fish?

The hell.
