Brina's POV

"Your school starts tomorrow, what do you plan?" My mom asked me when she saw me looking for food in the kitchen. Ugh why did she reminded me that. Now my mood is ruined. I freaking hate schools, especially in today's era. I feel like academics are not about learning anymore, it's more like how high is your grade.

"Planning to skip the first day" I half truthfully said to her as I walked towards my room since I got the snacks now. "Brina! You can't do that" I heard her shouted before I fully closed the door of my room.

I finished my layout for the notebook but I still need the most important thing, the gadget. However I don't have my own money to buy something like that. After deliberating for a while, I decided to ask our friend who's always helpful, internet. I posted a question in Quez Forum stating how can I earn money in a short time.

Minutes later a lot of replies suddenly pop up on my notifications, each with different answers. No matter how long I can scroll, I still can't find an answer that I'll be able to pull off. Most of the answers are applying for a major job which clearly is impossible for me since I'm still learning at school.

That definitely caught my attention. That is the only one written in one line, every replies consists of paragraphs by paragraphs giving me every information but that reply, did not. To save myself from dying of curiosity, I clicked the reply.

Help! Need to level up my game character, willing to pay money!

This person sure is a man of a few word, I mean he did not even stated how or where to do his request. Anyway, this surely is a lot more easier than those business suggestions. I immediately messaged the person.

"I will level up your character, pay me", I am really in need of money, that is why I sound like begging. The person immediately replied with "Bro, are you a professional gamer? What if you will just scam me?"

"Nope, not a professional but I can level up your character twice the level you currently are. And I am not a scam." I replied to him not minding that he just called me bro. Stereotypes. Is it really rare for females to play online games?

"Now you sound more like a scam! How are you going to double my level?" He replied in which I answered, "Let's meet up and I will show you".

"I swear if you are fooling around, I'm gonna beat you up. Name the place." He replied, and I answered, "Suna Mall, 3:00 PM" and before he can even replied, I added "Oh right, bring your laptop"

Right after my reply got delivered, he replied back instantly, "Wait? Don't tell me you don't have a laptop? Do you even play games?!" in which I answered and ended the conversation, "You'll see"

I am wearing a hoodie again as usual while looking around the entrance of the mall. The boy messaged me what he would be wearing and I saw a boy with the same description. I immediately run towards him.

"Let's go" I simply said and started to walk away but soon stopped when he talked, "Wait! You are that person? But you are a girl?" Ugh. Stereotypes. "Do you wanna level up or not?"

I did not wait for his answer and just started walking ahead. Not long after, I felt his presence beside me. Tsk, why do he needs to level up tho? It's like he wants to achieve something only possible to do once he leveled up?

"Aren't we supposed to be in a cafe?" He asked when I stopped at the entrance of the gadgets area.

"You will level up here" I simply answered him then continue looking for a spot that is not so noticeable.

"Public WiFi are slower right?" He asked again in which I just answered, "Who says we are using the public WiFi?

I immediately go to the spot I wanted and sit down on the floor, followed by the boy. Well technically, I will use a public WiFi but not the one everyone uses and also not the private one. I'll use the one between the public and the private.

He instantly gave me his laptop and I right away did my business, hack the WiFi. It is actually a very easy one, you just need to pull some keyboard works then viola! You will immediately get into the system and connect your gadget.

After connecting to the WiFi, I started the game application. While it is loading, I ask him why do he need to level up and he answered with, "Supreme Kairos is giving a chance to all the players with high ranks to play with them"

Sumpreme Kairos? That name sound familiar.

"Oh wow, you did not tell me you are still a beginner and now you want to be in the ranks?" I voiced out with a hint of sarcasm. He did noticed it and defended himself, "I know! That's why I will give you money how much you want, okay?"

Did not answer him as I entered a solo tournament battle, this way is much faster to level up than joining a team battle. The enemy I fought with is actually an easy one since the character is only on the beginner's level.

For the past hour I did not even need to use complicated moves to win the match. There are a hundred players in the rank and I'm planing to get him to at least 90th place. Within an hour I have made his character leveled up to 34 and the least ranked player is level 67. Another hour would be enough to achieve the planned place.

"Woah~ You only took an hour to make my character leveled that much? Seriously? What is your game name? I will add you!" The boy beside me shouted excitedly while I am still fighting the enemy.

It took a long time before I can answer him as I was focus on the game, "I don't have one". I finally got the time to answer him when I won the fight and leveled up to 50.

"You are not a player?! Then how do you explain this?!" He shouted while pointing his finger towards the corner screen where the level is shown.

I did not bother to answer him as I want to finish this as soon as possible. I gotta prepare for hell– I mean school tomorrow right? I need to make sure I have my headache pills you know. Or for a second thought, I can always cut classes huh.

"A tablet would do" I whispered to him before pressing hard the enter button and second later a VICTORY sign was shown in the screen. When he did not respond to me, I glanced and saw him with his mouth hang open.

"Did you just made my newly made game account ranked with 90th placed in just a span of two hours!?" He shouted when I shoved him his laptop since I finished what I should do, and just wanted to have my pay so that I can leave now.

"Buy me a tablet and we are done" I said to him and started walking towards the tablet area. Yes, a tablet not a laptop. I need something that would fit in my notebook so that it is not noticeable and would be a perfect cover up when I use it during school hours.
