Ponyboy Curtis - "I can't find my necklace."

~ One Month before present time ~

"Ugh" I groan

"What's wrong?" Ponyboy asks

"I can't find my necklace" I say upset.

My family just moved to a new house, a bigger house, still in Tulsa but with a big family my parents said we needed more room.

"So?" He asks "Don't you have a million others?"

I hit his arm

"I'm serious, it was may favorite"

"Was it that golden heart with diamonds on the top?" He asks

"Yea...."

"Maybe you just misplaced it" He suggests

"I sure hope so" I say continuing to unpack boxes

~ Present time ~

"Hey any luck finding that necklace?"
Pony asks a month later as we sat at his house doing homework

I cross my arms and sigh "Nope, I even looked through other boxes with clothes and it wasn't there.... I'm out of places to look."

"I'm sure it will turn up" He says

I sigh then look at my watch

"I should probably get going" I say getting up, walking to the door

"See you tomorrow Pony"

"See ya, Y/N"

I walk home

"Honestly, it's so frustrating not being able to find something I love" I think to myself

I get to my house

"I'm gonna go to bed, goodnight" I tell my parents walking up the stairs

"Are you feeling ok?" My mom asks

"Yep, just tired"

I flop down on my bed then roll over on my side and close my eyes.

I fall asleep thinking of possible places my necklace could be.

I sleepily open my eyes, rolling on my back, then I sit up and stretch.

I get out of bed and walk down stairs.

I notice a small package on the table with a letter attached.

I grab the letter, opening it.

"Dear Y/N
We remembered you talking about your missing necklace and decided to all pitch in and get this for you.
Love,
The gang"

I laugh looking at Darrys neat hand writing

I set the letter on the table and pick up the package.

Opening it carefully I remove the lid
Inside was a necklace, it was two interlocked hearts

"Wow" I say putting the lid back on
"I'm gonna go thank the guys and let one of them put it on for me" I think to myself.

I walk to the Curtis house, knowing I can find most or all the gang there.

"Hey!" I say walking in

"Hey" Says Steve "You like the necklace?"

"I love it, but ya'll didn't have to" I smile "Who's idea was it?"

"It was Po-" Two bit starts getting elbowed in the ribs by Pony

"Shut your trap" Pony says

"Hey, uh Pony... Come here would ya?" I ask kindly

He walks over to me and I step outside and he follows

"Would you mind putting it on me?"
I ask

"Oh uh... Yea sure" He says

I hand him the necklace and turn around, moving my hair.

He puts it on, when he's finished I turn around.

I put my hand on his cheek and lean in, then I kiss him.

It was short.... But I felt something... I'm not sure what it was but it was amazing... It felt... Like home.

I pull back

"Sorry I shouldn't have done that." I say "I should probably go."

"Y/N?" He asks

"Yea?"

"What do you say you and I go out this evening?" He asks "Maybe to the nightly double?"

"I'd love that." I smile

"Awesome."

We walk back inside and all the guys are grinning knowing grins

I roll my eyes

"Don't ya'll got something better to do then eavesdrop?" I ask playfully

"Nope" They all say at the same time
Everyone just laughs
