The story follows Baylee Curtis, the youngest of the crew. How the death of her parents and being raised by her brothers and the gang on the east side affected her everyday life. Growing up Greaser isn't easy, especially for a twelve-year-old girl who's desperate to belong yet determined to prove she can stand on her own. Every day is a balancing act. Between childhood and survival, between loyalty and danger, between keeping quiet and fighting back. With tensions rising between the Socs and the Greasers, Baylee finds herself pulled deeper into a world of violence, secrets, and choices that no kid should have to make. If she slips up, even once, the state could step in and tear her family apart for good. Can Baylee keep herself out of trouble long enough to hold her family together? Or will the streets of Tulsa swallow her whole? This is a fan fiction based on the book/movie 'The Outsiders'. I do not own any of the original main characters from either series. This is the first fan fiction that I have ever written, and let it be known I am not an English major, so I apologize in advance for any grammatical or punctuational errors. This won't be your average lovey-dovey fan fiction. The only love in this story is the love Sweet Pea has for her family. At the young age of 7, Sweet Pea takes all the bullets fired at her. After her parents death she has a hard time healing. When Johnny and Pony run away her family gets worried sick and her well being fades away. She had a short childhood and had to grow up fast. When her life takes a turn, there is no going back. Also I know she looks a bit young in this photo to be 7 but that's the basic idea of her face. Y/N's move to Tulsa Oklahoma shakes up the small town. She quickly meets the gang through her cousin two-bit, but she's drawn to the dark unpredictable Dally, kind hearted Ponyboy, and the golden child Soda.

She was tough and she liked it that way, her cold demeanor made anyone that would look in her eyes run away with fear but her friends didn't. They were used to her. Especially her brother, Dallas Winston. And this one special guy. The world wasn't really in favor of her. The odds were against her. Hell, it survival of the fittest. All she had was her friends and brother, her family. Somehow, the world was going to find a way to take that away from her but first, not without a fight.

After Johnny's death finally sinks in to Ponyboy, Pony realizes that it's his fault (Or so he thinks). He finds a new use for those switchblades...
