"What's wrong, Tammy?" the gray-haired Steven Stone asks his current companion. She was a cute thing, with short curly purple hair and bright blue eyes. She, however, had trouble making friends due to being mute.
Steven waited patiently as the woman shook her head and then quickly scribbled down what she needed to 'say' on the dry erase board she always carried.
'I dropped my tourmaline necklace.'
Steven smiled and brushed the tears at the corners of Tammy's eyes away. "Don't worry, Tammy. I'll help you find it."
He was glad to see her sadness disappear at that.
