oh so if yall didn't know i'm Nigerian hahaaa i'm lit lol we lit but anyway i'm from the igbo tribe ... anyway, irrelevant !! today i wanted to talk about how i'm not that close with my culture ??

like my dad is a Nigerian but for somebody living in Nigeria he is the most Nigerian person you will ever meet, and he's also British or so he claims ( okay but is it really "British" or is that the accent i am so lost ? )

anyway, i often feel too american and i am african american but i hate being so in touch with my american side more than my dad's side. like i'm more into my hispanic side than my nigerian and it isn't even confirmed if i'm afro latin yet so how am i over here speaking fluent spanish & knowing all the dominican songs & dominican slang when i'm not even sure if i'm hispanic no no no.

i don't know nigerian songs and i don't speak igbo, neither do i go to cultural events or dress in the traditional clothing and like !! i wish i did and i'm going to really start getting in touch with my nigerian side ayeee.

what made me think about this is that i said "gyal" today which is mainly Caribbean ( Jamaican Patois ) and i'm not even from there so i was like oh shit wyd zuzu,,, but then i looked up Nigerian "Patois" and we do use a lot of the same words so i was relieved. but the fact that i didn't know we had a broken up English language makes me mad like noooo why do I know more about Italian culture than Nigerian you know ??

so i'm gonna start getting in touch with that side and i really do wanna learn how to speak Igbo so i can roast and talk to my dad. about two years ago i took classes but i went to TWO. TWO.

anyway i'm really gonna start with this shit now let's go
