• when your friends think they know more than you do about your hair and ofc their hair is that super curly or straight hair
• "why don't you leave your braids loose?"
• "you should get weave"
• "is that weave?"
• "omg is your hair an afro when you take it out?"
• "how long is ur hair when u take it out?" - curious person
"it's ye long." - me
"omg really?!!2!&:!;!;"
• "how long does ur hair take to do?" - curious person
"it takes a couple hours." - me
"oh mine takes like ten minutes." - curious person who now thinks they have advantage over me cuz their boring basic ass hair takes ten minutes to do.
• "can i touch ur hair?"
• assuming that since one black person can wear their hair in a bun all the time, then naturally i can and i will not be affected by it
• when somebody tries to give u advice about ur hair thinking u don't already know that and more about them
• people not cutting ur hair the right way (my friend with naturally hella curly hair has this issue)
• people appropriating ur braids
• hair being dirty
• the amount of time it takes to do ur hair omggg
• being told ur ugly bc of ur hair
• being cute asf but nobody digs u cuz of ur hair
but i love my hair so lol
