i'm running across too many authors that tell their readers "i want x amount of reads and x amount of votes and once i reach that i'll update again ;)" THEN THEY DON'T EVEN UPDATE.
okay for starters - wattpad is not about getting votes or reads it's actually about writing ? surprise motherfucker !
and when authors blab on about how they want their readers to vote and read it makes them sound REALLY greedy. and i don't think they notice that when they ask for a high amount of votes and reads solely so that they can update they sound like filthy tycoons lol !
plus, if you really need to ask your readers for a certain amount of votes and reads to update a fucking chapter ( which is a responsibility for you that you should take care of rather than depending on your followers for it um wtf ) , that means that you may need to up your writing skills if you're not already reaching your goals without having to ask. just a thought ..
and it's not really a goal if you have to create a whole new chapter asking for this amount of reads and this amount of votes because you're supposed to work to reach those goals, not demand them.
idk it's just really annoying especially when they try and say it's for motivation and say they know it isn't everything but then they go and do the same shit and this time it's obvi not for motivation.

ya and all in all it just makes you sound like you really don't even like writing the book anymore ? you just want votes and stats ? like shit look at me i get maybe 10 max votes a chapter but i'm still here because i got a lot of shit to say, and if you write a book without having a lot of shit to write then why are you here (kurt cobain voice)?
