"Hey!" I smile unexpectedly seeing Rafe at my doorstep he usually tells me when he wants to come over. "I wasn't expecting you, come in." I say opening the door for him to walk in. "No that's alright I'll be going soon" I furrow my eyebrows and he looks down. "Are you alright?" I say looking at him with a concerned face.
"Elizabeth said I can't see you anymore" Elizabeth is Rafe's girlfriend she's always been jealous of our friendship. I chuckle "what a dumbass what did you say" she's such an idiot I swear. Rafe and I have been friends since we were 3, how stupid can she be if she thinks she can separate us?
Rafe stays silent while hanging his head low and then I realize. "Oh." I say and my smile fades "you said yes didn't you?" I say and look down "y-y/n she's my girlfriend" he stutters. I try holding back my tears "no yeah I get it." I give him a fake smile "goodbye then Rafe" I say "wait-" he says and I cut him off slamming the door in his face.
The door closes and I slide my body down the door covering my mouth to muffle my sobs. How can he do that?
How can he just throw our friendship away?
