Elara was destroyed and emotionally exhausted. I was late at night and she was just about to leave the palace because her marriage had practically fallen apart.

Zarkon walked into the room, thinking she had left already but saw her standing there staring at her wedding ring. She didn't know if she should take it or leave it.

"I thought you had left already." He said, breaking the silence.

"I'm about to... I just don't know what to do with this." She said, gesturing to the ring in her palm.

"Well... You can leave it here... Since I don't think we'll ever reconcile." Zarkon said.

"Zarkon... I love you. I always will but the things you've done have been killing me. I'm leaving so you can figure out what it is you want. I can't stay here and let you hurt me. When you think about things... Whether you want to reconcile or just go ahead with the divorce process, at least let me know." She said.

He nodded and sighed as he watched her leave the ring on the dresser and leave for who knows how long. He had a lot of thinking to do...
