With thousands of resources, it's clear why it's considered valuable- and why its security measures are through the roof. If taken back, it would be a MASSIVE victory for the Collalition. However, after some digging, Pidge comes across a vital piece of information that Lotor "forgot" to tell them. Years ago, after the solar system's thousand-year rebellion had been forced to an end by Galra forces, Lotor was dragged back into Zarkon's plans when he and the Crown Princess were forced into marriage to secure control. While neither is originally thrilled about the arrangement, they end up falling in love. Sadly, Lotor was banished to the end of the galaxy. Any attempt to contact her will mean the end of his lover's home, people, and her life. With no other choice, he's forced to wait. Now, he finally has the opportunity to rescue her from Galra oppression, and nothing is going to stop him. I don't own Voltron or the characters, just the plot of this fanfic. I do own the cover photo and do not permit anyone to use it to profit or gain from it. It's implied that reader has a lifespan similar to Lotor's. This is not meant to fit perfectly into the canon series, so just think of it as a canon divergence, or an ALTERNATE REALITY... I'll go in a corner now...

A lot has been happening since Katara and Sokka found Aang in the ice. Now on their way into the earth kingdom to find an Earth bending teacher for Aang the group are confident that they will be able to face anything and anyone in their way without anyone else unless it's Aang's teacher. But when the avatar has a vision of a mysterious man with two feline creatures in the swamp and then finds him in real life Aang suddenly and quickly forgets how kidnapping is illegal. ~~~ Lance and Keith are definitely doing something that is totally illegal. They should know they made the rules, but when they come across a planet that has alien life that looks and acts exactly like humans of earth who were they to resist the temptation to blend in with a undiscovered alien civilisation? How were they supposed to know this world had magic people who could control elements with their mind? And what the heck was the avatar? Oh and there was a centuries long war going on? Eh better than a ten thousand year one. AKA Lance gets kidnapped by a bunch of kids and decides magical powers/destined saviours or not they need adult supervision. AKA Keith gets stuck with a angsty prince and his tea loving uncle and goes through hell just trying to find Lance, make sure they don't die, and resist the urge to commit manslaughter or homicide. He succeeds at most of that stuff (Set a year and a half after Voltron ends)
