It's been two weeks since I broke up with Justin and left the house. He's been calling me but I've been letting his calls go straight to voicemail. I didn't want to talk to him. Not now, not ever.
I was happy staying with Marcus. He hit it like a pro and brought me breakfast in bed. Two things Justin never did since we've been together. I always took care of him and satisfied his needs, ignoring my own. It's time a man took care of me for once.
Since I was afraid that Justin might find me in this small town, I did not go outside. If I needed something from the store, all I had to do was tell Marcus and he would get it for me. I did chores while he was out but besides that, I spent most of my time lying around the house and watching Netflix. I hadn't gone to work for the past few weeks either because I knew that would be the first place he would go to find me. To make sure I didn't get fired, I called my supervisor and told her that I was pregnant and needed some time off to take care of myself and the baby. She congratulated me and told me to return whenever I felt better. She was the sweetest boss ever.
