I was cleaning out my attic when I found a box of letters from Marcus. In them, he told me all about his experience living in Colorado. I started reminiscing about the jokes we shared in our classes when I heard my phone. I checked it to see a text from him. Speak about the devil. It's been years since I last saw him. We weren't best friends but we were cool. We didn't hang out outside of school because Chris, my boyfriend at the time did not like him. For some reason, he felt like Marcus liked me as more than a friend no matter how many times I reassured him that he did not.
Anyways, I enjoyed laughing with Marcus so when I saw his text about hanging out at the bar, I couldn't refuse.

I couldn't to see him and catch up. There was so much I had to tell him. From quitting my job to finally dumping Chris. I was glad we were getting drinks because I needed to be tipsy to tell these stories.
