(Book 2)Chapter 11- Oh you fancy huh?

Baby I know sometimes it gonna rain

But baby can we make up know cause I can't sleep through the pain

And I don't wanna go to bed mad at you

And I don't want to you to go to bed mad at me

-Neyo

"Just stop there." I said blocking him with my hand; which he moved swiftly

"You're getting too cheeky" he said walking in squeezing past me. No respect; even in my own house

"Where's my watch" he said stopping in the hallway

"Hold on" I went up into my room. Damn. Where did I put it? I walked around looking for it

"Where are you??" Yeah like it was really gonna say 'over here Aalliyah' I squatted and looked down under my bed. Not insight. I moved back- knocking something's from my drawer- probably just book. I stood up and heard a crack. If there's any justice in this world that wouldn't be Omari watch. I closed my eyes and prayed to the dear good and gracious God and opened my eyes slowly. Fuck my life. His watch had a crack right in the middle. If this watch was so expensive why did it break so easily? I didn't weigh THAT much. I didn't wanna try my luck and hand it to him like that; he would explode-it was one of them watches you see

In the Argos magazine and only hope that you couple even afford that when your older. I could repair it then give it back later but I would have to put him for a week or so- or die in my own house. No challenge there. I ran downstairs and fixed myself in the mirror. He was on his phone smiling when he saw me; he looked at my empty hands and raised he's eyebrows as in to 'where is it?'

"Is that chain new? I've never seen it before" I said touching he's chain trying to change the subject

"Baby girl there's a lot of things about me you haven't seen before" I swear I was blushing. I scratched my neck and looked around awkwardly. I knew what he meant but I was just thinking how this these walls are; three people are still in the other room

"Really?" Boy my voice was high. I tried not to smile; but fuck me it was hard. I coughed and looked at anything else but him

"Yeah. I would show you but Sam would kill me" he nodded happily smiling- I just raised my eyebrows but stayed quiet.

"Why didn't you go school?"

"There were more important things to do- how do you know?"

"Woooooooow! Never thought those words would come out of your mouth & I came to pick you up like a gentleman- but Cecilia said you never came in. So I came to check up on you" isn't that nice (!)

"Aalliyah stop being tight and invite him in!" Gloria shouted. So much for sleeping

My mum and Gloria where like teenagers when they were around each other. I swear they were sleeping. I smiled and ushered him into the living room. I cleared my throat and introduced them.

"Mum and Gloria- this is Omari" I said using my hands as gestures

"Ohhh! Omari Jones?"

"Rah. Full name and ting" Omari whispered smiling but said it quietly teat only I could hear. I blame the police for telling my Mum he's full name

"Hello Mrs Williams" Omari said shaking their hands- why's he tryna be such a gentleman? My mum giggled.

"No. That's my ex husband's name. Call my Grace" the screws she was getting where enough to strike her down right there and then. Why couldn't she be like a normal African mum- totally against boys?
