A/N: Hello my dear readers!

Sorry for the long delays, I was out of inspiration for now.

So here is a new one-shot where there are mentions of possible death, so if you don't like it, don't read.

I'm still open to request. WOuld you like a chatroom? Do you have ideas?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Focus.

It was the key to achieve your spell, your hex.

The one you loved was deeply injured and only you and the Cloak could protect him: Doctor Strange.

Words flew past your lips, a gigantic pentagram dazzling the ground around you while power lingered in the air.

Your gift was your were Energy, you were a living battery and Stephen often used you to defeat strong opponents when his powers weakened, like Kaecilius or even Dormammu but today, you weren't there and now he was deeply wounded.

" Don't let dark thoughts keep you from your way, Y/N" you pondered, embracing the air to embellish the spell.

Because of your gifts, he liked to give you nicknames: like Batterie, Volt or Watts, anything linked to electricity and it made you laughed. How much you would give to hear his voice again, to see his mesmerising blue eyes connect with yours one last time. Why had he risked his life without you being informed of this " mission"? You an idea Why?

 One word: Mordo.

He had been your mentor for years, in the temple of Kamar-Taj and when he turned against his belief, you were lost, not broken but lost. How were you supposed to believe in someone who was like your brother when the very principles he had taught you were now violated by the one who taught you that? ( Does it make sense?)

You sighed loudly, once the spell was over and you opened your eyes. You turned to Stephen, lying on the ground, his chest slowly rising and falling while the Cloak stroke his cheeks in a loving manner. A small smile reached your lips:

" Do not worry, Levi, he is stronger than he thinks. All he needs is a little boost. Let me give him that."

You came closer to Stephen and kneeled next to him. Then, you focused on the energy throbbing through your veins, the beating of the heart, the electric glimpses of life which were invisible to the eye and put your hand on his chest. Immediately, you felt your energy being drained from you, let it go. You had never reached your limit, always being careful not to break the line but today, something was wrong. Stephen started to heal slowly but too slowly for your liking. If you had to fight, you didn't know if you would have enough strength to stand up. However, you kept on, pushing your limits until the two familiar blue pools fluttered open and set on you. The hoarse voice of Stephen echoed in your ear like a lullaby from afar.:

" Y...Y/N. Stop. Don't do this".

You ignored his words and gave more while your body started to glow with a white aura, its light reflecting in the eyes of the sorcerer. His strength was coming back to him, he knew that, but was it the cost of such an unnatural healing? The one he loved? You, Y.N?

He looked at you, pure love glowing in his eyes while you looked at him, a sense of relief invading your veins while you finally stopped your power. Your body returned to normal, the white aura fading in the air. There were no more deep wounds through the chest of the former doctor, only a smooth skin.

His hand touched your cheek, bringing your face to his in a gentle kiss, showing all the love his heart bears for you. He had never kissed you like that before and you were blown away. When you both pulled away, a genuine smile appeared on your lips.

" Stephen, I aaah!"

A burning pain erupted in your chest, clutching your skin like the talons of an eagle and you screamed in agony. Stephen's eyes widened when blood tainted your chest and panic flooded through him. Immediately, he caught you with one arm and with other sent a spell to Mordo who stepped in, a dark smirk on his face. The black magician had attacked his apprentice, not hesitating one second to strike to reach his goal: kill Stephen.

You moaned in pain, putting pressure on your chest with your hands while energy started to fade away from your form. For the first time in your life, you were afraid of death. You knew one day, your battery would come to an end, but not like that.

" I have to fight, focus Y/N, if you can remove your energy, you can retrieve it as well," you thought, liberating the flood of blood from your hands and putting them on the ground. You had never tried to take energy from the ground, graining the lives of insects, flowers, grass, anything which could help you heal the wound. Nevertheless, was it perhaps too late?

Stephen commanded his cloak to protect you and soon the hems put pressure on your chest, its crimson colour turning into a darker shade while the collar shook its head, panicking as well. Your breathing became slower, shallower, your strength less strong until you had to lie down on the ground, trying to stay conscious.

Was it the end? Were you going to be a dead battery while the last spark of energy went to the ones you loved the most and where you knew this energy would be spent well? Or would you cast one last spell to defeat your old mentor?

A/N: What would your end, dear readers? Happy ending? Or a sad one?
