You were boiling inside like fire was running through your veins. Your breath was heavy, your hands clenched into fists and your fierce faith in magic was slowly falling apart. At each harsh words Stephen said, a part of you was torn in two solely pieces. You were a new student in the temple, and magic wasn't your best suit. You passed so much time studying, practicing continuously and still, you could barely manage to get a spark of magic flew out your hands.

You knew Stephen for months now and he was teaching you the Mystic Arts but he wasn't a very patient man. And here you were, trying your best to create a weapon under the stern gaze of Stephen. At first, it was okay, you understood he was your mentor and that he was here to help you but after bad comments about your lack of power., you froze. You bit your lip in an attempt to not scream at him and send him away. He always got the thing to roll down your nerves.

" Come on Y/N! Do better!"

You took a deep breath, trying to focus on your surroundings and not on a boiling Stephen. You didn't know why he was so angry with you but you were not going to let him bully you so when he said these words, something broke. These so painful words which were graved into your skin like scriptures in a rock.

" I don't know why I keep training with you, you're worthless. You'll never manage to control the Mystic Arts" he sighed, passing a hair through his messy hair.

Your body snapped. Fury invaded your form and changed into kindled bright flames. You screamed in anger and aimed your arms at Stephen who jumped aside in surprise. Sparkling tongues of fire burnt the walls and floor while your outburst slowly fell down.

" How DARE you?! Telling me such horrors! How do you want me to improve if you're just pointing how pathetic and weak I am! I can't hone my abilities in one flick of my finger! I am NOT you, selfish idiot!"

You stormed out of the training room under a shock Stephen who looked at you run away. He didn't see the tears rolled down your cheeks, he didn't hear the crack of your heart and he most importantly didn't hear these words muttered under your breath" and I wonder why I've fallen for you".

You who were so calm and patient had shown your other face, the one which was wild and untamed. The side Stephen had been desperately looking for in order to find the trigger to reveal your magic and it seemed that fire was your element of predilection. A smirk reached his scarlet lips and he followed your trail. He wasn't going to let you down. After passing countless corridors, he finally found you near the cliff. You were sitting on a rock, watching the azure sky and its beautiful twilight. The glowing sphere of the sun gradually landed its path to let the moon rise up. You whipped your tears away with your hands when you heard Stephen cleared his throat. Your head raised up and you got on your feet, facing him. You watched his unruffled features changed into a soft mask of kindness. His deep voice pierced your heavy heart:

" Listen, I didn't mean to hurt you but..."

" You did. You did hurt me Stephen" you cut him off, crossing your arms over your chest.

He looked at you, sighing and continued his sentence:

" But, I knew you have a part of you which can unveil your magic. Hone its abilities is a search, a quest for identity and I needed to know your trigger. So I tested your patience and anger today. Everything I said was just a mean to unleash your power. "

You looked at him, locking your eyes with his sparkling blue ones. You balanced his arguments and admitted that it wasn't a stupid idea even if it wasn't the best way to switch your powers on. You breathe in, noticing that you were holding your respiration. You stepped closer to him and nodded.

" You're right. Your words hurt me but you're right. Sorry for the outburst."

He brushed your arms, and you shivered under his touch. He noticed and asked:

" Are you cold?"

"Just a bit. I'm not wearing the right outfit for outside. Let's keep practice okay, Stephen?"

You turned your head to be met by two grey storming blue pools which were scanning your body. He turned his head, revealing his sharp jaw and whispered something in his collar. The cloak softly lifted off Stephen's shoulders to land warmly around you. You blushed when you recognised the smell of Stephen a mix of cologne and his shampoo.

" Thank you"

He smiled warmly at you, taking your hands in his to lead you in the training room.

" Anything for you".

Your blush deepened at his statement and you squeezed his hand to make him realize that he was an important part of your life. Once you reached the room, he let go of your hand but you decided that you were going to tell him. It was too much heavy to bear now. He was so close and so far away at the same time. You couldn't wait any longer the rush of boldness which was invading your veins. The faith and trust he put in you, pushing you against your worst side of you: anger and pain. You held his hand harder and pushed him against you. Putting your other hand on the back of his neck, you crashed your lips against his. Your heart fluttered at the feeling and you felt Stephen tensed at your action. You slowly stepped back, letting your lips brushed his, and looked into his eyes for any sign of rejection. What you saw was so more than that: a smile, a truly genuine smile which was written all over his face as if he had just unwrapped a Christmas present. He wrapped his hands around your waist, pulling you closer and whispered against your lips:

" I like this new training. Let's try again, shall we?"

You smirked at him and leant on, the kiss gradually growing to something more.

A/N: Any thoughts? I leave the rest to your imagination girls ;)
