One goal.

You have to complete the mission and make your father proud. It was quite simple, you know : Retrieve the Eye of Agamotto from its seal in Kamar-Taj.

However, nothing went as smooth as the plan and now you were stuck in a situation nothing had prepared you to face for.

A choice over your heart or your family has to be made, soon or later.

But let's start at the beginning.

Your keen eyes were finally set on your price : the Time Stone caged into the Eye of Agamotto. After hours of traveling through space, avoiding the so many enemies of your father Thanos, you had reached Earth, this watery planet surrounded by islands. The device tracker your father had given you had found out where the precious artifact remained and here you were, hiding in the shadows of the temple, waiting for the perfect opportunity to take it.

Your legs were starting to ache, but you ignored the pain, waiting like a predator in the darkness. When finally, only the silence echoed in your ears like a sweet melody, you acted. You tiptoed to the eye, staring at the green aura surrounded the relic and at the moment you were going to make contact with this precious object, someone burst out in the room and attacked you. A burning pain erupted in your wrist and you groaned.

« Damn spell » you muttered under your breath. You shook your hand to ease the burning pain and decided to wait. You couldn't do anything against a spell as powerful as this one. It had barely burnt your hand to ash. Fortunately, the healing spell was already accelerating the process of healing.

You got back to your spot, waiting for the spell to wear off, and luck was on your side when the owner of the place stepped into the room, taking the Eye and said something you couldn't hear.

He was wearing a dark blue outfit, tightening his muscular chest and gloves covering his hands. Your eyes locked and you were awestruck by the infinite blueness of his eyes. How was it possible ? How could you fall for the enemy at first sight ? You shook your head and stayed silent, waiting for the next move to approach. You bit your lip and focused again on your prime objective: the Eye of Agamotto.

You kept yourself saying « He's the enemy, a handsome enemy, but still an enemy » and smoothly moved from your spot, gradually getting closer to your precious cargo. His back was faced to you, a vulnerable spot to knock him down, or so you thought.

You moved, as silent as the wind, moving like a predator getting closer to its prey, your blade sparkling in the dark and rose your weapon to strike him down but something velvety stopped you and sent you into the air. A yelp of surprise escaped your lips and a groan echoed in the room when you landed harshly on your back. You were quickly back on your feet, in a defense position, your blade raised up and you looked at the man in front of you, wearing the Eye of Agamotto. His deep voice sent raised warm goosebumps on your bare arms :

« Who are you ? »

You froze.

« I am Y/N, daughter of Thanos and this does not belong to you ! » you said, pointing at the artifact.

He tilted his head to the side, not disturbed at all by your threat.

« I defeated Dormammu, on my own, your father does not frighten me. Now be reasonable and stop this madness »

You snorted, offended.

« You think I'm just one of his minions ? Weak ?! I'll show you how 'weak' I am ! » you shouted, bouncing and striking your blade which changed into a golden spear. The magician dodged, stepping back, his mouth awing at your performance. Blazing shields appeared and blocked your weapon and you grunted, stepping back to attack him again. You danced for a while, not noticing the cloak detaching itself from its master, you were too focused on your fight with the sorcerer until its hems grabbed you and embraced you in a tight grip. You fidgeted, trying to get free, but it was to not avail.

A smile tugged on Stephen's lips :

« Not so cocky, now are you ? »

You groaned, struggling but the Cloak tightened its ggrip onyour body.

« You want the Eye of Agamotto, why ? What does Thanos is going to do with it ? »

You stopped moving.

« Not your business, sorcerer. »

He stepped back, eyeing you, observing you carefully.

« Like what you see ? » you teased.

A smirk reached his lips.

« Perhaps. You said you are the daughter of Thanos, and therefore you have many enemies.

« Your point is ? »

« Are you a valauble asset for your father to come to help you ? »

You paled. Your father didn't care if you were dead or alive, only deeds matter to him. Stephen nodded.

« That's what I thought. Tell me, what would you do to protect your home ? »

You sighed, your thoughts leading to the fewer happy memories you had a your home, before Thanos found you and killed your mother.

« I don't have a home. Home is nothing except a vulnerable spot to weaken your opponents. »

He puts his finger under your chin, raisning your head up to face him.

« This is what Thanos told you again and again. I 'm asking you again : What is a home ? What keeps you up fighting for your belief ? »

Your breathing got stuck in your breathand tried to look away but Stephen stopped you, making him face his blue pools of eyes.

« It is family, a safe place where you dwell with the ones you love. »

A real smile appeared on his face until your sad truth of your words escaped your lips.

« But it was taken from me, destroyed, gone, dead. »

However, his words made your heart skip a beat.

« You can build another home. Here on Earth if you want. »

You looked at him, really this time, notcing the strength of his features, the sparkle of his eyes and the truth piercing through his voice.

« Why do you do that ? What do you want ? »

He took a deep breath.

« I know when I see someone broken. I am a doctor, and I fix broken things. If I can help, I will »

His kindness awakened something which was as cold as ice, something wichyou thought dead in your heart : Hope. Maybe, you could trust him, maybe a new life where sadness and death would be not part of this world. Perhaps, you start a new beginning.

You nodded.

« Welcome to earth, Y/N, in Kamar-Taj. »
