Here you were standing, panting in front of the worst hydra you've ever met. Your clothes were at some part tore apart and your breath was heavy. This beast had attacked one of your villages and you had used your powers to drawn the creature out of the city. Daughter of the Hecate, Goddess of Magic and Spells ( and among other things), you were protecting your home, but the hydra was tougher than you had thought. Its heads kept falling on the ground while more were growing up. The scaly creature with nine heads ( and more now) was stamping its piercing claws on the ground, leaving its fingerprints. It roared loudly, echoing in the air as a warning. A shiver rolled down your spine and you gulped. The beast was huge, looking like a fierce dragon with multiple dread heads and without wings. What strikes you the most was their eyes, their scarlet bright eyes fixed upon you. You were its prey, its delicious little prey. After all, you were just a human next to the hydra, what could you possibly do to him? You smirked when you see it chatter its jaws, remembering you how his teeth were sharp. " Let's show off a little bit", you thought. The wild animal bowed and screamed, charging you with all his might bent your knees, raising your hand up and murmured in a foreign language. " Oh, Goddess Hecate, I ask you to give me the strength to stop this monster" Then you let your magic invaded your veins, your body to spread its wings around you like a fiery phoenix. A warm aura exploded around you, wrapping your strong figure in a warm grasp. Your gaze fell on the charging creature and sent a beam of magic. Your attack hit the chest of the hydra who screamed in pain, all its heads raising up in the air. Its paws tried to crunch you but you dodged it, firing some magic blast on it. You kept on attacking the best with your magic, again and again. Your blasts becoming weaker at each shot until you felt your magic drained out your energy. You fell on your knees, trying to get your breath back. Your heart was pounding heavily in your chest and sweat was covering your body. You clenched your fists when you saw the hydra destroyed an abandoned house. You groaned and got up, ready to give everything you had. Your trembling legs led you closer to the hydra, its head fixing on you with a smirk on their face. Yes, it smirks! You invoked fire in your hands, praying for your mother in your head " Please, please, let me win this fight." when suddenly a blazing portal opened with a man stepping out of it. The two opponents turned their gaze towards the stranger who had just frozen. You took the time to look at him. He was wearing a long dark blue tunic, with a red cloak floating behind him. A necklace with a green eye was falling on his chest. However, what surprised you the most was the air on his face. His sharp cheekbones emphasising his features. His striking blue eyes were focussed on the hydra, watching its movements stopped dead. Then his gaze fell upon you, and your heart skipped a beat. " Wow!" You thought, while your magic cradled in your hands, suddenly filled at its full power. When you realised that, you smirked at the stranger and got up. You stored up your fire magic in your hands and threw the balls at the hydra. The monster turned all its head towards you and you kept throwing your fire at it again and again, screaming with all your might. The stranger didn't stand motionless, he activated the Mirror Dimension and flew in the air, dodging some heads which were trying to crisp him. Then, he activated a huge bright orange pentagram on the monster and muttered something in a foreign language. Too focussed on escaping the attacks, you didn't notice what the man in the cape was doing, but you felt in your body it was magic. A smile appeared on your face when you spun around and shot a blast of pure energy in the chest of the creature at the same moment the stranger used his magic on the beast, creating a gigantic scorching light. The mythical creature screamed in pain, trying to stop the flames to burn its skin but it was too late. A Magical fire never stopped until its prey is consumed. You cringed when one of its head tried to devour you. A few minutes passed until the creature turned into ashes, its agony ends a moment ago. You didn't like to kill but it has given you no choice. You sighed and kneeled on the ground, retrieving some hydra's ashes to thanks the gods and to let it go on in the beyond. Lost in thoughts and prayers, the man cleared his throat in an attempt to catch your attention. Immediately you got up and activated your magic, your fist clenched and surrounded by a warm light. The stranger rose his hands up trying to calm you down:

" Wow, easy miss. I mean you no harm."

You locked eyes with him, trying to decipher the truth in the mirrors of the soul. Once satisfied, your power faded away.

" Who are you?"

The man with the cloak pulled down his hands and said with a charming smile:

" I'm Strange. Doctor Stephen Strange. And you are?"

You tilted your head, pondering.

" I'm Y/N. How did you get here? You just came from a portal, are a son of Hermes?"

Stephen looked at you, confused.

" Son of Hermes? Who is that? I just used the Mythical Arts, and I might fell in another dimension when I was training with Mordo."

You furrowed your eyebrows.

" How can you use magic if you are not a son of a God or Goddess?"

He smirked at you.

" Because I'm not from this world. I have to say, your powers were quite fascinating, what can you do?"

His eyes were sparkling, keen on fascination.

" I'm the daughter of Hecate, Goddess of Magic and Witchcraft, so I can basically do whatever I want as long as my mother agrees with it."

He nodded his head, thinking.

" Impressive. Hum, what was that beast we defeated?"

You turned your head, watching the last remains of the monster.

" A mythical creature called a Hydra. And thanks for your help, Stephen."

He smiled charmingly at you.

" Well, I couldn't let a demoiselle in distress."

You frowned.

" I wasn't in distress, just in a hard moment when life and death are barely intertwined."

He chuckled and you noticed how beautiful this laugh sounded at your ears.

" If you say so, Y/N. Now, excuse me, I have to go."

He raised his hands up, making a circle with his right hand. The landscape you were looking changed and a blazing portal started to appear. Then Stephen turned to you, smiling warmly.

" It was nice to meet you, Y/N. I'll come see you again if you okay with that."

You smiled back, your heart already warming up to this idea.

" I would love to, Stephen".

He nodded and kissed your cheek, his lips ghosting your skin and you blushed heavily. He walked towards the magical portal, a huge smile on his face. You watched his figure disappeared in the gate and his crimson cloak becoming the last remnant of your new friend for whom your heart sped up. " Well, what a beautiful day!" you thought walking back to your home, ready to wait for Stephen's return.

A/N: So what did you think? Did you like it? Not too out of the Stephen's persona?
