A/N: Hello my dear readers!

I want to thank you all for your faithful support, it means a lot to me.

I was wondering if I should open a book for an Avengers chatroom, would you like that?

So this is a request by ShadowsSpeedster where the reader is part of the Avengers and can control shadows aka named Ghost Shade. It is the first encounter between our reader and our dear Stephen.

Hope you'll enjoy!=)

Darkness was your world, the ebony hue which stained every part of your life, resulting in the birth of your powers. You had always loved the night when the sun goes to sleep and let the moon rise when finally darkness opened its veil to the stars. This is perhaps why you joined the Avengers, to help people to see through the darkness. What was often fear of nightmares was for you the powerful ability to show that darkness wasn't always the side of evil.

You were Ghost Shade, you could control shadows and became one if you wish. Lost in thoughts, you jumped in surprise when you heard Steve's voice in your com asking you to protect citizens from another alien invasion. Immediately, you stepped out of the shadows and walked towards the group who was hidden behind a broken car. You were wearing a dark scaly outfit, clutching your body like a second skin with your hair let loose in the air.

You moved your hands and made circles to open a door, a dark door to a safe place. People looked at you in awe, but you sensed disgust in their behaviour. You ignored them and said.

« Go through the portal, it will lead you to a safe place. Step in one by one. »

Carefully, you looked your surroundings while the citizens obeyed and stepped into the gate hoping to go to safety.

You encouraged them when some hesitated, doubt covering their face and you just... pushed them in. Afterall, you were in the middle of a battle, and they could get killed at any moment so they had to go through the portal as soon as possible. You didn't go easy on them and when the last one moved in the portal you closed it and turned around only be faced by a fist. Pain erupted in your face, burning your skin like a snake of lava. Blood dropped from your nose and you winced. A snicker was heard and you looked up, seeing your opponent, a dreadful alien, with a full armour on and a gun pointed right at you. You shook your head, discreetly moving your hand and in a quick movement vanished in the shadows. When you were in the shadows, your vision was as bright as if you were in the light, you could see every detail and the alien sent shivers down your spine. However, you didn't let fear paralysed your body and jumped out of the shadows, kicking the weapon away. The alien let out a squeal and blinked when he saw you again. You punched him right in the face, using dark flames to give you strength and the foe flow through the street and landed roughly on the ground, not getting up.

« Tooth for tooth, eye for eye » you muttered under your breath.

You put your hand on your com, asking for Steve :

« Citizens safe Captain, what is next? »

« Clint needs help near the station »

You jumped to your feet and walked in the shadows, getting faster than just walking through the ruins and the streets.

« On my way »

You quickly spotted Clint thanks to your eyes which turned into a black void colour, then you stepped out of the shadows, landing on a rooftop. Clint saw you and shot every last alien on the floor with only one targetted arrow which ended in the heart of every enemy Clint saw. Then he proudly said, showing off :

« See, I can handle. Thanks through Y/N for you non-activity. »

You shook your head, rolling your eyes and arms crossed against your chest when Clint's eyes widened and his mouth hung open.

« Y/N Behind you! »

You barely had time to turn and to process the gigantic monster coming towards you something grabbed your hand and pulled you away. You landed into a quite muscular chest, the heartbeat of a man echoing in your ears while you realised what just happened.

« I almost got eaten by a carnivore alien, » you thought, blinking.

Suddenly, a smooth and deep voice snapped you out of your trance, while gentle hands cupped your cheeks :

« Are you okay? »

You froze, unable to move. You who were always so cold, insensitive couldn't move a single muscle due to the most mesmerising gaze you had ever seen. Two deep blue pools focused on you, looking for any injuries or anything. When the shock faded, you stepped back from his grip, breathing heavily while instinct took control.

« Who are you ?! »

He looked at you, observing your sudden outburst. You had closed yourself off, not letting anyone enter the shell of protection you raised for safety. He walked around you in circles, watching you like a new source of experiment. He had never met someone who could be so emo and still fragile and wishing to be bright again.

« My name is Doctor Stephen Strange, I am the Sorcerer Supreme. You must be Ghost Shade, or Y/N. »

You snorted, still mistrustful. He added, seeing your stubbornness.

« The Captain sent me as well to help the Avengers. I merely saved your life, you could at least offer a thank you ».

You nodded, still acknowledging him.

« Thank you, doctor. But how did you do that? It looks similar to my shadowy portals. »

He smirked and you felt yourself blush.

« It's because I use Mystic Arts. I could show you sometimes, I'm sure we could some marvellous things together. »

You raised an eyebrow at him, crossing your arms over your chest. You were about to answer him when Tony spoke in your both intercom :

« Stop flirting and get your asses here, we have a tribe of alien invading the streets »

You shook your head and looked at Stephen who glanced at you and extended his arm :

« Shall we? »

A/N: So what was your impression of this oneshot? Good? Not good?
