29 | Crazy hybrids and werewolf bites
"Surprise!" The group of us all yelled out watching caroline jumped in her spot.
"Happy birthday!" I winked at the blonde who had just walked inside her house.
"What are you guys doing here?" She asked.
"Well since you blew off school and missed our birthday surprise. . ." I took the purple fluffy grown off my head and put it onto Caroline's head.
". . . Change into warmer clothes. We're going to the Falls. S'mores, campfire. . . " Bonnie said.
". . . Cake like when we were little." Elena finished.
"And tequila," Matt added making the four of us laugh. Caroline, even in her sad state, pulled up a little smile.
"Ah, thanks guys, really, but I'm not feeling it this year." Caroline forced a smile.
"I'm sorry but you've already claimed your birthday as everyone's favorite day of the year." Bonnie tilted her head at the blonde.
"Yeah and now it's just a reminder that technically I am dead. Look I didn't even like seventeen. Seventeen was just to get to eighteen. I'm stuck in a filler year!" She whined.
"Your not stuck Caroline," Elena said.
"Yeah I am, but it's ok you know, it's all good. I will be fine but I just need some time to wallow in it." She held up her hands.
"Ok, well I have another idea." I spoke up.

"There it is!" I yell trying to see past the dark. Elena then handed me a flashlight. "Heh, thanks." I turned it on and pointed it in my direction.
"This is creepy. Even for us." Bonnie looked creeped out as we entered our location. The metal door made a small creaking noise.
"No care, was right. She didn't need a birthday, she needs a funeral." I explained to them. "You need to say goodbye to your old life so that you can move on with your new one."
"Ok." Caroline said taking off her crown. "Here lies Caroline Forbes."
"Cheerleader, miss mystic falls, third grade hopscotch champion." I continue.
"Friend, daughter, overachiever." Bonnie laughs.
"Mean girl, sometimes no offense." Matt said making us laugh
"Ah, none taken." The blonde vampire smiled.
"She was seventeen and had a really good life." Elena said putting candles in the cake. "So rest in peace so you can move forward. That's what you really need."
"Amen, or cheers, or whatever." Elena laughs. Elena shifts her body to Bonnie. "Uh, bonnie." Elena looks down to the candles.
"Oh, yeah." Bonnie light all eighteen of the different color candles.
"Ok make a wish." Elena says.

"I need it more than you do, trust me." Elena says laughing and grabbing the alcohol. Elena offers me some but I decline.
"Care what are you doing?" I asked her noticing that she was on her phone.
"Nothing, hm?" Caroline responds looking back up at us hiding her phone screen from all of us.
"Ok, your a bad sober lying and an even worse drunk liar." I pointed out, trying to see what was on her screen from the position I sat in.
"I might have texted Tyler." Caroline shrugs.
"Caroline." Elena says, looking at Caroline with a disappointed look on her face.
"What? I'm delicate." Caroline says in a soft voice.
"Give her a break you can't control what everyone does all the time." Bonnie snaps accidentally, almost regretting her words as soon as they came out of her mouth.
"Wow." Was all Elena said.
"Little harsh bon." Matt says.
"I'm sorry." She sighed. "I know it's Caroline's birthday, funeral, or whatever i just think that it's really wrong that you compelled Jeremy to leave town."
"I'm doing it to protect him bonnie. I want to give him a chance and a half-way normal life." Elena argued back, not seeing what was so wrong with having Damon compel Jeremy to leave mystic falls for a while.
"He should be able to choose how he wants to live it. Your taking his choices away!" Bonnie argued once more, glaring at Elena."
"Bonnie you can't tell him."
"Why? Are you going to compel me not too?" She raised a brow. Elena pushed her head back like Bonnies words had stung her.
"You know, you guys are ruining a perfectly good funeral." Matt stood up.
"I'm sorry I'm just gonna go sleep it off." Bonnie sighs standing up. "Happy birthday."
The witch walked out.
After Bonnie left Caroline came and sat down, laying her head on my lap. "Remember that time when we were seven and we where jumping on my old trampoline in the rain and Matt feel out of the zipper whole." Caroline said brining back a memory that lead us all to chuckle.
"Good times," I said remembering his face as he realized he had hit the ground.
"Yeah. I miss the times when life wasn't so full of problems. When supernatural wasn't concerning our life's." Caroline looked down to the floor with a frown.
That's when Tyler walked in. "Hey, sorry didn't mean to crash the party."
"So don't." Matt said rudely. Tyler and I made eye contact but I looked away. I wasn't ready to face him after what he had done. Wether he had a choice or not.
"No, it's um, it's ok." Caroline said standing up off of my lap. "Hey."
"Can I talk to you for a sec'?" He asked her.
"Yeah, sure." She said as the two of them left alone. I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach.
"Are you ok?" Elena asked Matt.
"Yeah, I want her to be happy you know." Matt says taking a swig of his alcohol.

"It's been a while." I say looking down at my phone to see twenty minutes had passed.
"Yeah it has." Matt said.
"We should go look for Caroline." Elena stood up. I followed behind them.
"Caroline" I yell. I picked up her scent quickly. "Elena, Matt over here." We took a right. That's when we see Caroline on the ground groaning in pain.
"Caroline!" I yell, running over to her with my new vampire speed. "He bit her! Tyler fucking bit her!"
"No, he wouldn't do that." Elena denied the clear obvious.
"Then Klaus told him too." I stood up.
"She'll die unless he gives her his blood." Matt panicked.
"Don't worry. I'll handle it. Get her to her house now." I ordered, speeding over to where the hybrid was currently residing.
I burst through the doors. My breathing un-controlled. "Klaus!" I came to a stop in what seemed to be the living room.
"Well, hello, love." A voice said from behind me causing me to spin around.
"Did you tell Tyler to bite Caroline?!" I asked him. He changed the subject and didn't answer the question.
"I like your tattoo." He said looking down at my wrist with a smirk. I looked down to my wrist seeing what he meant.
It had something to do with him. N.M.

I really am dumb. "What did you do?" I pointed to the mark on my wrist.
"I don't know what you mean love, I didn't do anything."
"Wait- don't change the subject did you or did you not tell your sired little hybrid to bite my best friend?" I asked him stepping closer.
"So what if I did?" He asked taking a step towards me.
"What do you mean so what if I did. Shes my friend and werewolf bites kill! Give me your blood. Now." I demandingly glared at him.
"And what do I get in return?" He asked stepping even closer.
"Um, Caroline's life saved?" I answered. "Please, Klaus." I stopped glaring at him. Hoping he would give in at my sad face. And he did. Sucker.
He stops and sighs. "Only because it's you, love." He grabbed a cup and bit into his wrist.
I watch as the blood falls down into the cup. He handed it over. "Thank you." I say before speeding out and to Caroline's house. I arrive to Caroline's house and knock on the door.
Liz answered.
"Hey." She said opening the door and moving so I could come in.
But I couldn't.
"Oh, right come in." She said.
"Thanks, Liz." I said and rushed to Caroline's room.
"Here, Care." I gave her the blood and sat on her bed as she drank it. I saw the bite slowly heal. "Your gonna be ok." I pushed the hair out of her face.
