Through The Dark

Chapter Six: Say

I watched Rachel as she got her food and drink. She looked so perfect. She was perfect. I didn't know much about her yet but, I could just tell she was. As I was standing there starring at Rachel from a far, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Quinn Fabray. "Finn! Why did you bring her?" She growled. "HER name is Rachel. And I thought this would be a good way for her to meet people. Also, what does it matter to you? We aren't together anymore! I can invite who I want." I protested. "Whatever, just know your popular status is going down." Quinn stated as Rachel walked up to us, "Hello! I'm Rachel." She said nicely to Quinn. Quinn didn't respond and stomped away with anger. "What's here problem?" Rachel asked me. "No one really knows..." I chuckled. Rachel giggled a little, "Where should we sit?" She asked with her sweet voice. "Here, let's go outside by the pool! That's always a nice place to sit." I smiled and led Rachel out.

We sat by the pool with our beers and food. Rachel was a really quiet girl... she was very to herself. Which made her even cuter. "So Rachel... Tell me about yourself." I smiled and took a sip of my beer. She looked up from her plate and at me. "Umm... Well, I came here from NYC!" She said with a smile. "Ooo really? That must of been so awesome!" I smiled back. "It was pretty awesome..." Rachel said nodding and chewing her food. "How about you? Ever lived out of Ohio?" She asked. "Nope! Just here... Which gets pretty boring..." I answered. Rachel was hesitating to take a drink of her beer. "First time?" I smiled. She nodded shyly. "You really don't have to..." I said putting a hand on her shoulder. Rachel look at me and than at her shoulder. "Maybe later..." She said setting the drink aside. I smiled and looked her straight in the eyes. "You are really pretty Rachel..." The words blurted out of my mouth. She looked back in my eyes blushing and leaning closer to me. All of the sudden she went into a deep thought and quickly got up and scattered away. My heart dropped. I had no idea what to do or say.
