I have to tell Jai how much my brother loves the house. I hope Nate moves on campus and doesn't stay in the house when we visit on weekends. I don't want him to cramp Jai and I's space.

After breakfast, I walk around the house and I sing.
"I am so bored,
I am so bored,
I live in a big mansion,
With nothing to do,
I am so bored."

I need to get out of this house.

Alessia walks over to me as I'm pulling off a pair of keys from the key rack. She looks at me. "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to the mall. I have to pick up a few things."

She shakes her head. "The bosses instructions was to keep you in the house. Now, give me the keys."

"No," I place my hand on my stomach. "I am pregnant. Not an invalid. If I want to go out I will go out." I walk past her and out the front door. I sit behind the wheel of the car. I breathe in and I get a whiff of the new car smell.

So, this is the car he brought while I was gone.

I start the car and pull out of the driveway.

At the mall, my phone starts going off. I take the phone out of my bag and look at it.

Jai: Alessia called me. She told me you took the car out.

Jai: Where are you?

Jai: Please reply, Chloe.

Jai: Chloe?

Me: I'm at the mall. You don't need to worry about me. I'm fine.

Me: I just got bored staying at home alone.

As I wait for a reply from Jai I walk into a store that has cots in it

As I wait for a reply from Jai I walk into a store that has cots in it. I look at the different kinds of cots they have. I come across a dark brown wooden one. It has gaps between the timber. On one side you can pull it down to get easy access to the baby.

I like the design of it, but the thing I don't like is the gap between the wood. I could get Jai or Nate to fix it.

There's a huge teddy sitting on a shelf. It's white and it also has a ribbon around its neck. On the foot, it says '2017.'

A woman walks over to me and she smiles. "Can I help you with something?"

I point to the bear. "I would like to purchase that bear." She pulls the bear down and she gives it to me. "Thank you. You have a great variety of things here. I'll have to bring my fiancé here in the coming months to purchase somethings for the babies room." I follow her to the register.

She looks at my stomach and then back at my face. "Is this your first child?"

"Yes," I look at her ring finger and she has two rings on the finger. "Do you have my kids?"

"Yes, three boys and two girls. My husband wants to have another child, but I told him if he wants another kid he will have to be the one carrying it for nine months."

I laugh. "I'll remember to use that one mine if he wants me to have too many kids." I pay the teddy and leave the store.

On the way out of the mall, I stop at the food court and pick up some Chinese.

Jai and I are sitting in the waiting room at the Doctors surgery. I see a magazine with a child on it and I flip through the pages. Jai looks over my shoulder and he asks. "Why did you leave the house?"

I put the magazine down. "I told you I was bored. When I moved back here I haven't been alone and it was weird for me to be at home without my family there. I'm going to have to get used to it, but not right now. Jai, I'm going back to work."

The doctor walks out the door and he calls. "Chloe Knight,"

I rise. "That's me."

Jai and I follow the doctor to his room. Jai touches my arm. "What did you say?"

"I'm going back to work. I have to wait for my old boss to get back in touch with me about starting work tomorrow."

A smile spreads across his face. "I'm glad that you want to go back to the way things were before you took care of your brother and sister. Are you sure you want to do this?"

I nod. "I loved my old job and I want to go back."

The doctor is waiting at his door for us and we enter the room. He takes a seat across from me. "What can I do for you today."

"I'm pregnant."

"Okay, first we're going to get an ultrasound to see how far along you are, then I'm going to prescribe some vitamins for you to take during the course of the pregnancy." He rises and leads the way to the ultrasound room.

Jai walks into the room with me and he holds my hand as I lift my shirt up. The doctor squirts some gel on my stomach. He puts on the wand on the gel and he moves it around.

I see something small on the screen and the doctor points to it. "That's your baby right there. It the size of a peanut. It looks like you could be three to five weeks pregnant. I will have a better idea as the pregnancy progresses."

A tear falls down my face as I see the baby.

The baby was conceived before we went to Paris.

Jai wipes the tear away and he whispers. "I love you, Chloe." His eyes are watery and I pull him towards me. I kiss him.

The doctor gives me a wipe and I wipe the gel off my belly.
