"Okay last rule" he whispered his cheek still pressed to mine "Be confident and then just pull the trigger and hope for the best" he slowly took his hands away from mine but still kept his body just as close "after three"

"One"

"Two"

"Three.."

I pulled the trigger on the gun, determined to keep both my eyes open as I did so. The bang went off pushing my body slightly backwards into Dan but I managed to control it. The bullet whizzed through the air before landing smack bang in the middle of the tree trunk leaving a large hole.

"Omg!" I cried turning around to face a astounded Dan. A smile broke itself out onto my face "Hah I did it!" I yelled chucking the gun back at Dan as he clumsily caught it trying to look as confident and cool as possible "What do you have to say for yourself Daniel, still think I can't shoot eh?"

"Yeah yeah it was beginners luck" he dismissed my amazing shot, stuffing the gun back into his pocket.

"That's all you have to say, not 'I'm sorry for thinking you were going to be rubbish and I take it back?'" I was getting slightly annoyed.

"Yeah I do actually" he spoke seriously catching me off guard

"What?" I inquired

"You looked really hot shooting a gun"

"Asshole" I yelled shoving his chest causing a loud rumble of laughs to escape Dan's chest and for a slight giggle to leave mine.

"Okay smartarse, where to now"

...

We had both been walking for what felt like hours and hours and to be honest it probably had been. It would have been easier if we weren't walking through a forest making out journey slower as we had many obstacles to overcome.

Luckily our terrain had changed once again and we were walking through miles and miles of fields. Some fields with grass whilst others were fields with mountains and mountains of meadow flowers.

This one particular field we were in at the moment was filled to the brim with poppies and daisies. The red and the white contrasting so well with the bright blue sky. I ran my fingertips through the petals as I waked behind Dan, struggling to keep up with his fast pace.

I jogged quickly up to him panting as I did so. The surprisingly hot day was taking a toll on my body. I was sweating buckets and was in dire need of a drink immediately. "Dan, slow down. Please" I called out to him as he turned around to look at my weak state.

"What's the matter?" He asked bending down to meet my body where I was doubled over, one hand clasped to my chest as I struggled to get my breathing rate back to normal. My head was suddenly spinning again and I couldn't stop it.

"I.. need..a...drink" I spluttered out, lifting my eye line to meet Dan's. His hand suddenly gripped around my waist as he hauled most of my body weight onto his. The roles were reserved from last night, he was helping me now.

"I'm fine" I argued trying to pull away from his grip but struggled due to my weakness.

"You're really not Eve" Dan lectured still dragging me along with him "The next source of water we find, you will have a drink okay?"

I nodded telling him I understood causing my headache to worsen.

"It's just dehydration, you'll be fine in a bit" he reassured.

About five minutes later we quite literally stumbled across a river at the end of one field in a dip between this one and the next. Dan carefully placed me down on a rock on the bank as he finally had a chance to catch his own breath.
